I've been thinking about adding slug URLs at my archive. What that means is forcing a filename; instead of ending in 12345.html, it ends in /12345/filename.html, same way tumblr does it.
I use tracking over at Roesslyng because that's the only way that I can be sure anyone is reading. But I can never remember which numerical URL belongs to which fic. So this would be an efficient way of dealing with that, I think.
This is a beta feature, though, and I'm always wary of using features that aren't completely "out" yet. Plus I've never seen anyone else actually use it. But it might be worth a try....
Maybe I'll wait until later in the week and give it a go. Because it'd be nice to know what people are looking at. I think one or two of my fics get repeated search hits because the title/description reference a niche kink, and not because they're... actually what they are. I can only imagine the confusion that gets.
