Thanks for the kind words on my most recent post, y'all. Couldn't reply at the time, but well - things were pretty crazy.
Mum came home last night. I spent the entire day cleaning, but that's done now, so that's good. Anyway, she seems to be doing okay - well, as okay as one can be considering the circumstances.
There isn't much more to say, I guess. Life's kind of a clusterfuck right now, but it's just for the obvious reasons, there's nothing to be done about it except keep on keepin' on and make sure all the laundry is done. As you do.
I, uh. Dunno' if that fest fic of mine is going to get done on time. I'm going to do my best, but jesus, it's really hard to find time for it right now. Well, not just time, but drive... Oh, well. It isn't the end of the world if it doesn't get done, and I can complete it at my own speed if I pass the deadline, but - I dunno, it's kind of embarrassing to commit to something and then not be able to do it.
And I haven't updated the indexes in weeks, argh....
Definitely going to have to get the posting guidelines posted for the fest within the next week, though. But that won't be too much trouble - most of the work is already done on that, and most of the rules are common sense.
Man, I just really wish I could relax a little. I do like to keep busy, but things are just way too fast-paced right now for my liking. Life needs to slow down a bit, damn it!
On a completely unrelated note, I've decided to watch Sherlock. Not sure if I'll like it or not, but I'll give it a go. Still haven't read the ACD Sherlock Holmes stories, but that would be because I bought the book and then almost immediately misplaced it. I'll find it in the black hole that is my room one of these days, I'm sure.
