Finally, some good news

Okay, so. First things first. I have a job! I start Tuesday! Pay isn't as great as what I had before, but the hours seem like they'll be less horrific, and - more importantly - I'll be working again. Awesome!

Anyway. Signups for easterneurofunk go live in the morning. I still have a lot of things I need to do - especially now that I'm going to be working, I ( Read more... )

Good! I'm glad you find a job. It isn't good for the soul to be jobless long (for most people, anyway), especially for young people (we are young! We are!).

I'm gonna read your fic Negotiations very soon. I got myself a kindel recently and I won't lie (to you) - it was mostly for fanfiction... I'm just tired of reading of the computer. So I'll just move it into my kindel and read it. I read quite a lot fanfiction recently, but not about the Nordics. I want to amend that a little...

Speaking of fanfiction about the Nordics... you didn't answer my message in tumblr :( or maybe you did, and tumblr swallowed it, I'm not sure. Because it did show that I've got a new message but when I opened the inbox there was nothing new there. So... maybe you could help? I'm trying to arrange all the Hetalia fics I like in one place, and I can't find it...

I'm glad too - not going to lie, staying at home all the time gets so tedious, even though I do like being able to spend daytime doing fandom stuff.

Ahhh you got one? I've been considering borrowing my mother's because she doesn't use it. Mostly for ebooks though, in my case - I read a lot of classic literature, and many of them are free on the internet, but I haaaate reading stuff on the computer, arrrgh. Anyway, I hope you'll like Negotiations - as I said before, there's a big chunk that you will probably skip over (heh) but I think you might find the beginning parts cute.

Re: your message... WTF. Yes, I did answer, but tumblr ate it. Anyway, the fic you were asking about is When the Sixth Day Comes. Ahhh I love that fic so much, I should re-read it some time. It really is one of my favourites. Well, all of the work that anon has written (they're very identifiable) is my favourite, heh.

Ahh talking about fic reminds me that I've been meaning to do rec entries buuuuut... then I got lazy. I should do that soon.

Thank you for the link :) Yep, this is the fic I was looking for.

Oh, I'd like to read more of this person's stuff, if you have links to them...!

Oh, yeah. I've seen a lot free classic on the net. I put some of them on my Kindel, but when will I actually read them, I don't know :X

I think I've rec'd most of their stuff on tumblr before, so you've probably seen most of these :Va

Copenhagen (Denmark during WWII, dealing with it)

Divergent Boundaries (Denmark/Norway, thinking about physical differences between them)

Bathroom Break (Norway/FemSweden, sneaking some intimate time between meetings)

No Ailment Worse (Norway/Denmark, thinking back to some of their intimate moments)

Untitled (Denmark and Austria, complaining about cake. Part 2 is down the page, you'll have to scroll) *I'm not for sure positive that this is that writer, but a lot of signs point to 'yes'.

Enjoy!

Thank you very much! Yeah, most of these are familiar to me, but never mind, some of them I haven't read yet, and it's good to have a full list anyway. After all, I'm trying now to collect all the good Hetalia fanfics I've read into one list named "good hetalia fanfics" :P I've realized I'm too shy and lazy to do singular recs every time, so I'll just do one big list instead...

I've seen you started to rec some fics - that's awesome! More good fics to read. They are starting to pile up, hehe. This is good. I really read a lot fanfiction recently, and I love it! :D

Yeah, if you prefer not to do individual recs, one long list sounds like a good way to do it. I sort of do it myself - the list of fics that I bookmark is public and sometimes it's a long time before I get around to doing individual recs... but I still like doing individual ones (when I have the energy for it) because I can go into a little more detail.

I've only just recently found a little time to read/rec... I'm glad that I have, though, because I miss doing this.
