In the next instant she's tense, on edge. She's ready for a fight, or so it seems. A glance around the room reveals why quickly. Tall, pale, and dark-haired has stepped forward. She no longer pretends to be at ease, eying him warily. He's dangerous, too dangerous, to play with as she had been with his companion.

"I am called Zen." It's the first time he's spoken more than one word and Yuu-chan can't help raising an eyebrow. She hopes the action doesn't provoke him but he doesn't even acknowledge it. He continues, gesturing to his companion. "He is called Azreth. You are the one we seek, the Scribe apprenticed to Yuuko. Will you come with us."
Yuu-chan doesn't hesitate, doesn't even pause to think it over. "No. I
will not leave this place."
"I see."
Red-eyes' Azreth has had enough sitting on the sidelines. He licks his lips and steps forward, so he is not right beside Zen, but close behind him. "I want to play, Zen. Let me play. Please?"
Yuu-chan's eyes narrow as he steps forward. She sinks further into the chair at his request. She has a moment a doubt, a moment where worry clouds her mind. It's just a second but it's enough to tell her that she needs to strengthen her resolve. Zen doesn't radiate blood lust like his partner, who's need for blood is beginning to overpower his aura. His blood lust is palpable in the air. No, there is no bloodlust from Zen, not even a thirst for power resonating from from. More frightening is that his aura has closed in on him. Before, there'd been a slight damp smell that told of his affinity but now that was gone, same as his aura. It was as if he hand no presence at all.
Azreth doesn't like being ignored. Zen and Yuu-chan are sizing each other up and he can tell. He wants Zen's attention and he wants it now. "I want to play, Zen." He practically whines out. "Please? Please let me play!"
Zen sends him a withered look. He was trying to size up Yuu-chan and figure out how best to attack her psychologically. He's a cruel man, preferring to crush his enemies mental state before using them or actually attacking them physically. He takes joy in doing it slowly. "Later." He's back to one word answers. "Now." He points to Yuu-chan, making his intentions clear. "Capture."
She stirs in her chair, suddenly interested in their conversation. Things are about to get messy.
"Alive?" Azreth complains, looking at his partner balefully. He really wants to play.
Zen nods once. "Alive." He glances at the boy, a glance not lost on Azreth. "Then play."
Azreth's smile becomes feral, his pupils dilating with excitement and their red depths swirling with red colors, blending and contrasting with each other. He looks like a cat preparing for a hunt. A good analogy, since he is getting ready to hunt. He's hunting for blood and he won't be satisfied until it's drawn. Zen said that he had to capture her alive. That meant he could play with her until she was just about to break. She wasn't human but she was close enough that he was confident beat her. Yuu-chan can sense his intentions without seeing the brutality in his aura. She stands to her feet and glances at the boy once more before looking at the orb. Things really are about to get real messy.
The boy stands up straight, his interest peaked. He uncrosses his arms, dropping them to his side. His right hand twitches, darkness flickering from his fingertips. It's not noticeable unless you're looking for it, though, so nobody really pays him any attention. He summons his weapon to him, a book appearing in his hands. His name is Zexion and while his weapon hardly appears threatening, he's more dangerous than he appears. Should Azreth attack him, he won't know what hit him. Zen, on the other hand, is one Zexion is cautious of. He treats him like a wild card, not sure of what to expect from him.
Azreth is completely focused on his current prey, however. He eyes Yuu-chan with a lust that has nothing to do with her beauty. Her left hand twitches, calling Zexion's attention to it. She making strange movements with it. Perhaps the beginning of a spell? She muttering under her breath as well. He recognizes the words despite the ancient tongue she's using. It's a spell of silence. It'll take at least five minutes for it to take full effect but if she can use it to her advantage, it might be interesting to watch her fight.
[Careful, Zexion, careful.] A voice echoes in his head. It's Yuu-chan's voice, but her presence in his mind makes him uncomfortable. He doesn't like people speaking in his mind. Those people can usually read thoughts and he doesn't want anyone reading his thoughts. It's mostly strategies and plans but it's the principle that bothers him. Still, it's an issue that he can address later. He let's the matter go...for now. As for Yuu-chan, she's made no sign that she's made any contact, her eyes on Azreth. She hasn't even glanced his way. Perhaps she might have said more in the privacy of his mind but Azreth moved then, stepping forward. The papers crunch under his feet as he takes a couple steps forward and she winces at the sound. She looks mournfully at the papers she's worked so hard on.
