Summary: Chinen and Ryutaro are best friends and Chinen promised not to leave Ryutaro... They met new friends, but their closeness is still the same. and Ryutaro has somehow, hidden feelings towards his best friend. But Chinen met someone that somehow broke their friendship. Will they be able to get their friendship back?

CHAPTER 01
Friendship… something everyone treasures. Many people will leave you but your friend will be always there for you and that is something Morimoto Ryutaro treasures the most.
When he was 10, his mother left him and his dad for another man. That’s the very first time he cried so much because of the loss of his mother. Starting from that day on, his father became really busy with the company and keeps on having business trips and he can’t even stay in his own house for a whole month, or even a year. He’s being left out. Everyone’s leaving him even his pet hamster, Hamu-chan, died days after his mom left. Since that day on, Ryutaro doesn’t know how to smile. You’ll see him with the same straight face every day. He also doesn’t have friends because of him, being grumpy and always glaring to any kid who will approach him. He’s afraid that once they will become friends, they will be so close, in the end, they will only leave him. But someone makes him realize that not everyone is leaving him.
Chinen Yuri, Ryutaro’s grade school classmate, a very bubbly little kid who has lots of friends in their school. Be it a senior, juniors or even their classmates. Ryutaro was used on being alone until Chinen approached him and asked him to play. He totally refused but Chinen takes no for answer so the small guy dragged him up from his seat and they found themselves playing in the school’s playground.
“Ah, Chinen-kun! Don’t push it too much!” Ryutaro shouted when Chinen push the swing for him.
“But Morimoto-kun! It’s fun, right?” Chinen asked and he can’t help but smile when Ryutaro shouted, “IT’S FUN!” accompanying by his laughter.
Every day, after their class in the afternoon, the two kids will play until their body will tire up. Sometimes, Ryutaro brings Chinen to his house and play there with him especially on weekends since he knew that Chinen’s house is just mere blocks away from his. The workers in Ryutaro’s house are more than happy seeing their young master holding Chinen’s hands while dragging the latter to his room, telling everyone to prepare some snacks for him and his friend.
The chefs made very delicious cookies for the two, a world-class juice, and 2 slices of cakes. Some maids eavesdrop to their young master’s room when they heard him laughing. It’s been a long time since they heard him laughing his heart out and the maids can’t help but plaster a smile on their faces.
“It’s great that he came back,” They thought the same thing.

They’re in their middle school already and Chinen still sticks with Ryutaro. He entered the same school since he promised he won’t ever leave Ryutaro and the latter is happy when Chinen told that to him. Chinen does have lots of friends, but Ryutaro knows that he tops everyone. Just like when Ryutaro got injured. Both of them entered soccer club and one day, while having a practice, Chinen has student council meeting. He was chatting happily with some of the seniors while walking back to the Student Council Office when they heard two students passing by talking about a new soccer club member sprained his ankle while having a practice game with the seniors. But what makes Chinen Yuri run off is when he heard the name, “Morimoto Ryutaro” from their lips. Screw the student council meeting, Ryutaro is much more important. When he arrived in the club’s room, he saw Ryutaro changing his clothes with a bandage on his feet.
“Ryu-chan, how are you?” Chinen asked making Ryutaro jolt since Chinen came in without a sound.
“Eh? Chii? Why are you here? Student Council Meeting-“
“I’m asking if how are you!” Chinen said.
“I’m fine, I’m fine.” Ryutaro smiled and ruffled Chinen’s hair, making it a bit messy. “Now stop worrying and go back to the meeting. I don’t want to be the reason if you’ll get punished by the president.”
Chinen just puffed his cheeks when Ryutaro pushed him out of the room but then, before leaving, Chinen looked at him and said, “It’ll be really quick, promise!” and Chinen dashed off.
“Thank you,” Ryutaro said looking at Chinen’s back. He plastered a smile and until he won’t home, he didn’t take it off.

They’ve been friends for almost 4 years already and now, they’re in their high school. They met new friends, Nakajima Yuto who is pretty hyper as if he doesn’t run out of energy, and Okamoto Keito, quite opposite of Yuto since he’s the type of person who loves to read books and always calm. If Yuto is pretty talkative, Keito is very quiet. Yuto and Keito were best friends even before they met Ryutaro and Chinen and it’s quite a mystery how the very talkative Yuto and the very quiet Keito gets along well together. But Ryutaro and Chinen are on the same page as them. Chinen is pretty friendly and talkative while Ryutaro chooses his friends and pretty silent. So whenever the four are together, Yuto and Chinen will keep on talking while Ryutaro will play his DS and Keito is reading a book.
Chinen and Ryutaro still take soccer club while Keito took the Music Club and Yuto is in photography. Everything is just normal as it can be. The four of them are always together, playing. Sometimes, they do play in the arcade, they eat in restaurants, they sleepover in either of their houses but their favorite house to sleepover is Ryutaro’s. First, their house is bigger than theirs. Second, the cooks give them delicious foods and snacks. Third, no matter how loud they are, no one will hear them since his room is sound proofed.
As to Chinen and Ryutaro, everything is still the same even though Yuto and Keito are in the same circle with them. The closeness that they have is still there. Like, when they have a sleepover at Ryutaro’s house, Keito and Yuto will sleep on the futon while Ryutaro will force Chinen to sleep with him in his king-size bed. Also, the same with Chinen. Like, when Chinen was asked to go to an Arashi concert since the person got an extra ticket, but the day of the concert, he already promised that he and Ryutaro will go to the beach, so he declined. Even Arashi, and his ultimate idol, Ohno Satoshi won’t be able to beat the importance of Ryutaro. And it even seems like they’re a couple but they’re only friends.
But when Chinen Yuri bumped to the person namely, Yamada Ryosuke, something changed.
