Materialism Overboard...
It's just a little of an overkill recently. Friends talk about it. Friends write about it. I read about it. I even feel it.
People are in good mood because they are pampered by lifestyles meant for the wealthy.
People are sad because they are hit by the financial tsunami.
People are happy because they are showered with gifts.
Even I am feeling down because I am stressed with not being able to meet my target this quarter, which means I can't shop and holiday as much as I'd want to.
I really should reconsider who I befriend. Time to redefine what's quality of life.
A very nice reminder I had recently was "In downtimes like this, we should be counting our blessings by God, in every way we should be"
