Singapore Air.. A Great Way To Fly...

Yes, I am actually beginning to miss SQ. With my base moved to HK, I am forced to take CX and DragOnAir! Especially with so many trips to Greater China, DragOnAir is definitely inevitable. I've to say I am not only not impressed, but utterly disgusted by the standard of service. I always thought little things like reminder announcements, running after you with a signboard, greeting you at the door, showing you to your seat, assisting you with your luggage, being apologetic and sympathising with your situation AND providing a solution.. the list goes on.. are just basic services that all airlines should provide. I am so wrong. I never got any of this from both CX and the DragOnAir!

The story goes.. I arrived at the gate at 7:25pm when my flight is 7:30pm. Yes, I know I should be there 10 mins in advance. There was no reminder announcement and nobody on the travellators with a signboard. Just because there were less passengers and they managed to load everyone earlier, they decided they want to close the gate earlier.

Actually I wasn't so mad with missing my flight. It's the lady's responses and the way the whole incident is being handled that disappointed me. Actually, excellent customer service would be to put me on the 7:45pm flight! I am not even expecting that. The least they could do is to make me feel less worse than I already am AND put in some sense of urgency in solving my problem.

I definitely will not support them in future, not for my personal trips at least. I told my company secretary not to put me on DragOnAir & CX in future unless there's no other alternative.

To wrap up the story.. I spent the night at the airport! lucikly I had access to the lounge. I want to sleep now.. yawn....
