I was looking for this one beautiful arrangement of "In Flanders' Fields" to share with you today, but I couldn't find a recording. Then I was going to record myself singing it, but my phone recorder sucks. So instead I leave you with these:
A different arrangement of "In Flanders' Fields", by Paul A. Aitkin, performed by the Amabile Chamber Choir. Another song by Eleanor Daley, who wrote the arrangement I was originally looking for. "In Remembrance", performed by the Victoria Scholars. The video is kind of silly and ruins the effect, though. =P
Do not stand at my grave and weep;
I am not there, I do not sleep
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glint on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle morning rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.

Remembrance Day always gets me a little teary-eyed. Thanks, veterans <3
Edit: someone found a Youtube version of that original song I was looking for!
