谢谢-a dedication

It seems like my LJ is becoming a catalogue for my various and random meetings with men XDDD
Actually it is only special kinds of people who I will ever talk about here.

So to conform to my own particular trend:

I went to Dublin to apply for my visa at the Chinese Embassy. I arrived on Sunday and stayed with friends. That night I arranged to meet a friend, 柠泽, (who I hadn't met in person before) the next day.

I went to Trinity, where we decided to meet each other at the main gates. He called to say he would be a few minutes late (trouble with parking).

I was waiting and then I heard my name and looked up.

Tall (188cm), handsome, with a kind face, curly black hair, stylish glasses, and nice, open, friendly smile. (Nice, athletic physique -couldn't help myself XP)

We shook hands and then started to walk. After talking for awhile I noticed he was panting lol He ran so I wouldn't have to wait for more than the few minutes he said. *-* Awww... sweet :)

I met his friend's girlfriend 'Rachel' (her English name) at his car. She was so pretty, and friendly, with a perfect accent (she's been in Ireland for 10 years).

To my surprise he was going to drive me to the Embassy (whereas I had intended to just ask him for directions... or just vaguely point at the right way lol)

As we drove they partially spoke in Chinese and from time to time Rachel asked me questions and made jokes... the weather was so lovely that day...

We got to the Embassy...and MAJOR VISA FAIL XP Stupid bureaucracy... >_<

So I had to stay in Dublin another night. I was so upset, but he was nice and let me ring my employer in China from his phone.

Me and Ningze went back to the car to wait for Rachel who hadn't finished yet. We talked a lot and he had a little cactus in the cup holder lol ^^

Then we stopped so they could shop in an Asian market. We were in a rough area (where in the past his GPS was stolen from his car when he was only gone for 5 minutes :P) so they had to take turns to leave the car. First when Rachel was  gone, we talked about many different things and then he went, and Rachel and I spoke about Ireland and China, the differences and similarities

in culture and people, language learning, travel, music, careers,etc... so many things. She was very patient and answered all my questions about chinese language and script.

We then went to Lidl and they got fruit and bread and WATERMELON!!!! (I know it is a fruit but I like it so much, I feel it deserves it's own category XDD).

When we got back in the car he handed me a wonderfully cold bottle of Aloe vera juice (so nice! He didn't have one and neither did Rachel. He bought it just for me because Rachel said Irish people like this juice Awww and XD)

Then we dropped Rachel to her house. I told her to visit me in China (if I ever get there!!! STOOPID paperwork >_<).

We arrived at his house and he told me to go and relax in the sitting room while he started lunch. He started to do that while I read my book, listening to him humming a Beethoven Concerto (Awwwwww! <3)

He darted in from time to time with (in sequence):

- a freshly washed apple

-to see if I liked duck, shrimp, egg, "what type of egg? Are cucumbers ok? Do you like rice? XD Are you sure you like rice?" XDDD

-Scottish butter biscuits

-ANOTHER bottle of Aloe vera juice

-"Are you REALLY sure eggs are ok?" XDD

(I felt incredibly well taken care of, as you might imagine)

Then lunchtime: Yummy shrimp with spring onions, duck, spicy rice, cucumber slices etc. etc.

YUMMY! But then I just had to mention that, *rolls eyes and then forehead-to-palm-slap* although the rice was sooooo tasty, ...it was a teeeeeeny bit spicy...

O_O... Then he was off again insisting on making more rice, because "you can't eat it if it is too spicy". *laughs at his adorable over-kill hospitality*

After lunch he said I should rest, and then 15 minutes later he presented me with a plate of watermelon, an apple and a peach *mouth starts to water*

We talked for about 3 hours straight until I had steadily made my way through the plate of fruit. Then I was practically ordered to go and rest for at least an hour and a half (because 1 hour was not nearly enough, apparently XD)

Later he was off again cooking like there was no tomorrow and then we sat down to duck, cucumber , spring onions in little gyoza skins, fried tomatoes and egg, and the rest of the spicy rice.

I just realised that to fully tell all that my friend did for me in full sentences would take hours, so I will summarise:

-Gave me my own room with a double bed, let me stay overnight, use of food, drinks, etc.

-Drove around to find wifi internet (he had cancelled his wireless) for at least half an hour (just before he had to work)

-Brought me back (and trusted me enough to stay in his house alone) so I wouldn't get tired.

-Woke me at 2 am (after working) so I could check my email and then let me call China on his mobile (Again!)

-Insisted that he wasn't helping me enough when I couldn't get the documents that night

-Woke up at 8 am and drove around the city to find an internet cafe for me (then waited until I came back from the cafe)

-Drove me to the Embassy AGAIN!

-Patted me gently on the back when I felt like crying because I had another visa FAIL XP

-Gave me words of encouragement and then drove me back into the city, to exactly the place I asked to go (even though traffic in Dublin is really bad).

But most of all, he acted like a complete and total Gentleman at every moment, even apologising many times when he came into "my" room to wake me up to call China (even though it was for my benefit-and only after knocking and ringing my phone XD I am quite a deep sleeper XD).

Even though he was very handsome, intelligent, interesting, unbelievably kind and considerate, friendly, a really good cook, etc, etc.did I mention handsome???? XD

I was instantly comfortable with him, not intimidated or shy at all (like I usually am :P). ....I did wonder about this.......

I already have a love so obviously it wouldn't be like THAT.

...But I tested my feelings just to check if I felt a certain way and after thinking a lot

... I realised that my perception of him was akin to him being a protective and caring 哥哥

He made a trip that might have been a complete waste of time, into a happy day where I met one of the kindest men I have ever known.

谢谢 拧泽, 我的很好朋友

a trip, kindness, 谢谢,拧泽,friendship, a dedication, appreciation
