There were just about zero clouds last night, which didn't stop most people from avidly ignoring the full Lunar eclipse which occurred around 9 PM central.
It's only fitting what with the occurrence of this particular extra-terrestrial phenomena that I would've had a Mohawk last night - for about five minutes.
But--once the shearing was completed, I intrepidly went outdoors to watch the moon disappear.
Here's a picture taken about 1/2 way through the occlusion that's about what you'd expect from a half-frozen dude with ginormous mittens in sub-zero temperatures. Oh, and the neighbors cat was mysteriously outside. Perhaps it too is a wizened lunar observer; at any rate it just wanted INSIDE, and had to repeatedly shoved back out of the foyer.
I would've gone out to take a picture of the actual "eclipse" part I know you're all so eager to see, but at that point, there would've been A) nothing to see, and B) I was pretty frickin' cold already.
If you missed the apocalypse--try back again in 2010.
