ALL RIGHT I ADMIT IT I'M A GIRL. I LIKE GIRLY THINGS, LIKE GIRLY MOVIES AND GIRLY TV SHOWS.
(Which plays a factor in this rant)Now if you can accept that fact here is a character study of Lisa Cuddy and how her hair is a quasi metaphor for who she is and the relationships she has. (It’s not as lolzy as you might suspect, read it and see if I'm ( Read more... )

I think this is lovely. And spot-on with what's going on with Cuddy.
I simply don't get why people are distressed by this arc - it's precisely what needs to happen for Cuddy to be with House.

Want to suggest anything about the length of her hair?

Let me expand on the Season 5 Bangs Theory of Cuddy's Hair.

Last season, when Cuddy had bangs, I remember a theory that they were an indication of her emotional distance from House.
She changed her hair to have bangs directly after 'Let Them Eat Cake', which would obviously fit quite well. The bangs disappeared directly after his (indirect) compliment to her in 'The Social Contract' - well, she certainly stopped brushing them down directly in front of her eyes.

Of course, Hair Theory may all be very far-fetched. :) But it's fun.

-------------------------------------------------------------

I think a more definite theory can be derived from her wardrobe, because we KNOW that her clothes will have be chosen specifically to show what's going on with her.

eg. I remember a post where someone noted that Cuddy had worn the same black, buttoned-up-to-the-neck top two times when she had been mad at House. In fact, House commented on it in the Season 5 finale.

I am desperately wanting an episode at the end of this season where Cuddy brings something into House's office wearing that top and he immediately deduces that she's mad at him, even though she denies it.
And he finds out she and Lucas have broken up.
And everyone can tell she's mad at House so they think Lucas has broken it off because of something House has done, even though he keeps swearing he didn't do anything.
And House works out that if Lucas had broken it off because of something House had done, Cuddy would be openly mad at him.
But because she's denying she's mad, actually she's the one who's broken it off because she's not that simple girl a la your theory above.
AND SHE'S MAD AT HOUSE BECAUSE SHE'S BLAMING HIM BECAUSE HE IS THE REASON EVEN THOUGH SHE STILL DOESN'T WANT TO ADMIT IT TO HERSELF.
Cue utterly triumphant happy smirking House, Cuddy in utter annoyed denial, furious at herself for being happy that House is happy that he's onto her subconscious... ok, well, you get where this is going.
And then it takes another season for them to gradually get together. The End.
*goes off into happy dream*

I don't know who came up with the bangs theory of season 5 but I remember discussing it last season with people and I love it. and I love even more that there are multiple theories of one characters hair. lol. :)
I'm sure the fandom could collectively come up with theories for all the character's hair (we are that obsessive as a fandom); cameron's hair color, chase's clean cut boy to lumber jack, wilson's helmet hair in season 1, and taub's...... nose hair length?

Yes. YES.
I SO BADLY want ALL those theories NOW.

You left out Foreman's beard.
Actually, that might be a good thing...

Furthermore, you've just confirmed yet again that Taub is The King Of Awesome.
I love Taub.
