I’m so, so sorry I missed being able to yell virtual birthday wishes to you yesterday, but I hope you had an amazing day all the same. I’m still debating whether to send you a Michael Vartan or a Jason Dohring clone for your present. ;) Love ya! *ultra ginormous flying tackle hug*

I started summer school on Monday. It’s just a Spanish class Monday-Thursday from 9 AM to noon. The class is a little intense because we have to cram 20 weeks of work into a 6-week class, but it’s going okay so far. It’s the having to get up earlier than I have in a year to sit in an hour of traffic in the morning and 7 hours of work at night that’s exhausting.
The teacher’s this young, fun guy who is all about the class participation. I also think he’s a miracle worker for keeping me fully awake and interested for 3 hours when I worked a closing shift the night before and am running on only four hours of sleep and a triple grande latte. No teacher has been able to keep my attention for more than 30 minutes since 9th grade. We’ll see if the miracle lasts.
Speaking of Spanish class, I have 9 pages of workbook work calling my name. Oh, joy. Oh, rapture.
P.S. Because I love you all, I’ll leave you with this piece of advice: don’t see The Lake House. It’s sweet but kind of below the intelligence level of the lovely flist. Unless, of course, you like mailboxes. Or watching Keanu Reeves look like he’s a heartbeat away from slipping into the Matrix to jump through time to find this supposed true love of his. In those cases, you’d probably like the movie.
ETA: How much does it suck that Edison is scheduling a blackout at the same time my DVR is set to record the Boy Meets World finale on ABC Family? (No matter how many times I've seen it, that last scene makes me cry every time.) Now I have to wait for the repeats to go all the way around again. Grr.
