I can't count the amount of times that I've given money away. Sometimes it's a quarter here or there (to Joan Benoit-Samuelson on one occassion) sometimes it's hundreds, to a sponsored child in Peru, or Ethiopia, or a patient of mine in dire straights and needs a hearing aid fixed or an "extended" loaner to get a job, and improve their life.
