Iceland.

When I save enough money from a couple of paychecks (notice I don't say 'when I get my first paycheck' 'cos that's too scary a promise - my mum can use this to blackmail me), I will sponsor my parents to Reykjavik, Iceland to experience what I experienced.
I will plan their itinerary and help them book a posh hotel and rent a lovely car (a Jeep, maybe?) for my dad to drive on the right side of the road instead of the left.
My dad can go ride Ice Horses (maybe drag my mum along too) and they will both go to the Blue Lagoon and have ice cream out in the cold but it wouldn't feel cold because the water would be a good 40 degrees celcius. They'd buy back a batch of skincare products for my mum to use when she's back and send me postcards with pictures of the golden circle and geysirs and aurora while they're there.

I will buy them a nice good semi-pro camera and teach them both how to use it well (mostly my mum, as I foresee that my dad would be the one driving most of the time). My mum would then have to learn how to read maps, or perhaps they could rent a GPS together with the car.

My dad might try whale meat, or puffin, and my mum can eat the food she likes.
I will make them go in January, and make sure they see the Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights) I didn't quite get to see. They'll see snow.
My dad would be so happy driving on the nice roads and my mum would be so freezing but I will buy her pretty and warm furry coats to wear.

They would explore other cities and feel crazy rich with the ISK currency.

Because everyone has to go to Iceland.
(My best trip so far. Having a car really changes things. And nature... is pretty darn amazing.)

europe, plans, family!
