Interesting. I suspect the two B-sides on this single "Hitori Janaisa" and this one, "Mezashita Mirai E", are meant to be listened to together. They tell the two sides to the stories in a relationship. "Hitori Janaisa" refers to someone who has moved away to a new town and contains the line "mezashita mirai e", while "Mezashita Mirai E" is about the life of someone who's moved to a new town and has the line "hitori janaisa itsudatte". ♥
Hmm, the lyricists for this song (Mi-n and alleztune) are different from the lyricist for "Hitori Janaisa", Task. I'd wondered if both were written by the same person. So... they must have collaborated for these two songs?

It's a bit ambiguous in the lyrics, but I believe the imagery that's meant to be evoked is that the singer is traveling down memory lane over and over again, hence the "footprints". You see many of them, tracing back down that path over and over, "proof" of how much he depends on the memory of the other person's smile.
