The theme song for Sho's drama, Tokujyo Kabachi.
*sigh* I have mixed feelings about this one. . . I love to sing along with it, but when you look at the lyrics. . . they're just plain weird in places. And the ENGRISH!! It's as if someone's beaten the song with an ENGRISH stick! (But at least it's not as bad as *cough* SUPER FRESH *cough*.) Ah well, enjoy the crack lyrics of Troublemaker.

Wearing masks of varying colors Playing the role of someone I'm not
I took a bite of fruit Not bad, rather, it's good!
Breaking through the noise of the TV and radio Your smiling face was especially blinding
The root of my problems have flown off somewhere Isn't it okay to just not care?

輝きを秘めたハートビート. . .
kagayaki wo himeta ha-to bi-to. . .
A heartbeat that masks its brilliance. . .
T/N: I told you the lyrics were weird, didn't I? It's the ENGRISH, I tell you!!! lol.
Comment #1: akkerakan de iin janai? = Isn't it okay to just not care?
Yes, I know!! It's a double negative! But it was impossible to translate it in any other way without losing the interrogative (question) form! If anyone has an alternative suggestion, I'd be happy to hear it.
Comment #2: kagayaki wo himeta ha-to bi-to kizande iku no sa = A heartbeat masking its brilliance, marking the passage of time
THIS was a fun line to translate. The first part: "kagayaki wo himeta ha-to bi-to" was simple, "A heartbeat masking its brilliance". There's a bit of interesting imagery going on in this phrase. You have auditory imagery (the "heartbeat") combined with visual imagery ("brilliance"). . . so this was a bit of a challenge. How does one describe the fact that your heartbeat (a sound) is radiating brilliance (light)? And that it's being muted? Whut?
The second phrase was even more interesting. "kizande iku no sa" is an example of the dreaded pro-drop, where the pronoun (in this case the subject) is left off. So all you have in the sentence is the verb phrase. The other interesting part was the fact that the verb "kizamu" can be interpreted several ways. The standard translation would be "to cut, to etch, or to engrave". But it also has an alternate meaning, "to mark, (in regards to time)". For example, "tokei no hari ga jikan wo kizanda" = "the clock's hands marked the passing of time". You could use the same word to talk about a conductor's baton or a metronome's arm marking the beat as well. So I'm assuming the unspoken subject of the phrase "kizande iku no sa" is the heartbeat from the previous phrase. . . The hard part was combining the two phrases together so it sounded like comprehensible English. (And let me know if I've failed. . . please!)
Comment #3: seikouhou wa nai = Can't face it head on
The literal translation here would be "No such thing as a frontal attack," but I don't think the lyricist had battlefield tactics in mind when writing this. I think it's just referring to the fact that you can't "attack" all your problems head on, that solutions to issues aren't obvious. Complete conjecture on my part. It's a stretch, I know, but that's my story and I'm sticking to it.
The translation is still rough. . . several parts still make me go *bleah* but I'll keep working on it. As usual, I'd appreciate any suggestions!
