WTF??? I Hate RL... sometimes
Well, RL has been throwing a couple of curves, I should say.
Had an interesting interview yesterday morning. A few days ago, somebody from the Social Science faculty of Singapore Management University (SMU) called up and told me to come down for an admissions interview.
Now, this is important. I applied there with Law as my first choice and SocSci as my second choice (SocSci defined here as Psychology, Political Science and Sociology). The interview took place at the SocSci faculty.
Guess what? The interview ended up running more like a Law interview than SocSci. The interviewers asked me why I wanted to do Law, whether I think Singaporean law is fair, what do you think is right and gave me a couple of theoretical situations and then asked whether I thought obeying the law was morally right.
Huh??!!
I hope I did okay, I was preparing for a SocSci interview rather than a Law one and was really taken aback.
In other news, I went to this cheap book sale warehouse. To me, the words 'cheap', 'book' mean instant love. I went in and found they had a huge manga section... *squeals madly and runs in*
Normally, manga go for 20 Singaporean dollars (Inuyasha, Saiyuki and the rest). I picked up a handful of manga for... 5 dollars each. *sighs happily*
The manga I got is a new one (to me): Sakura Taisen (Sakura Wars). It's actually based on the games. I am getting obsessed with it (plus starting to ship Ogami/Sakura), pity the fandom's tiny. *big mournful sigh*
Got a pair of eggs today!
