Culture Time!
To everyone. Yes, you. Because the Christmas I celebrate has very little to do with Messiahs or hymns, but very much to do with penguins in fuzzy red Santa suits, holly, lots of comfort food and enforced family togetherness. And also celebrating a season in which everything becomes more colorful and sparkly to combat the encroaching cold.
I'm working at Hallmark right now. gelfling8604 has worked there for quite some time now, and a girl she worked with needs to go in for surgery. And at Hallmark at this time of year, being a man short equals death by stampeding customers. And yet, somehow, I'm still retaining my sense of warmth and magic for this holiday. Sure, a lot of Hallmark's stuff is cheesy and outright annoying, but some of it is very beautiful and some of it is quite cute. And for some reason, I haven't had any problem customers. Other people have while I've been there, but I either scare them or charm them and I'm not sure which.
I hope everyone else is enjoying the season as much as I am.
