Since I'm still absorbed in my art for hd_fanart fest(oh yes, I had asked for another extension--;) and so I don't have time to write this lengthily but-- Grand Sumo Tournament in September 2009 has concluded today and while Hakuho is a young, excellent grand champion with talent and aspirations, it was still Asashoryu who can make miracle!!

Now the September tournament of grand sumo is running and has completed the 9th day so far, and although I initially opted not to write about it during the competition-- because the grand champion Hakuho was reported as the top contender to win the championship as always, and my favorite, another grand champion Asashoryu was treated as an underdog ( Read more... )

Now I'm back from Nagoya 2-day trip, to watch the day12-13 of July sumo tournament! And oh, it was such magical two-days for Asashoryu fan like me...!!

When I arrived at the venue on Thursday(day12), I was convinced that Asashoryu had withdrawn from the tournament by this morning because he was beaten by Kaio so miserably on the previous day. And ( Read more... )

It's time of the year and I'm heading for Nagoya, where July tournament of sumo is currently going and climaxing! Still basking in the last weekend's January sumo tournament final, as I can tell that it was one of the best tournaments I've ever watched! Indeed, it was Asashoryu who captured everyone's attention as he was reported to be at the verge of retirement whereas it turned out to be that he marked unscathed 14-0 wins until the final head-to-head match ( Read more... )

While I'm a bit behind my schedule recently in RL I really feeling pleasant as Yokozuna Asashoryu has been fantastic in this January sumo tournament so far, marking eight straight-wins matching up to Hakuho!!
