Hey, nifty stuff! Gonna be green fingers now, green fingers that grow grow grow... :) An inch tall is pretty cool growth. I would imagine that growing things indoors is a lot harder than growing them outdoors. One thing that comes to mind from reading all sorts of bits and bobs in Better Homes and Gardens is that you have to keep them well fed with fertilizer. And if you have climate control make sure the potting mix is damp. But you probably know all that.
Ahh... when picking a fertilizer, what do you go for? I'm fond of slow release once every three months and topping it up with a quick release. BHG keep recommending seaweed solution, but I resist because IT STINKS and the last thing you need with an indoor garden is STINKY POTS. Smells like an old fishtank, in my opinion. And I don't have much of a sense of smell.
I am loving the pot. Jill has great taste in potware! Such bright shiny colour! Wish mine were like that... mine are black plastic. >< Mum has some glazed purple pots that look awesome. Keep wanting to pinch them off
