Chapters 21-30 take place during the Three Kings saga of Yuu Yuu Hakusho, and contain the last years of Kagome's time spent home before returning to the feudal era. When I said it was going downhill from here, I really meant I was breaking them up. This had been my plan ever since I started this collection. Given how I set them up in their relationship with Kagome getting over her friends and past and Hiei blatantly not telling really anything, it would only be logical for them to end. I wanted a realistic take on their relationship, not one where sex and truth-telling could redeem everything and make everything forgivable. And to also show that, sometimes, taking that next step in relationships can actually ruin things.
But, hey, the angst rather ends there. And the last ten chapters (31-40) contain much of the humor and awkward stages of relationships trying to recover. I should also make this very clear here, these last ten chapters take place three years after the end of chapter 30. And there is a true heavy lime/light lemon contained in here. And yes, some of the ending chapters are much shorter than previous ones but that's just because... Well, I'm not going to lie, I've known for months that some of the prompts that I had to reorder from memory were out of place. I just didn't exactly know which ones until I started writing. And those ending chapters turned out to be the ones out of order which really broke the flow. Especially since I refused to go back and try to delete chapters and reorder them again, only to most likely screw things up even more. And honestly, when characters are together and things are going smoothly, they're not much fun to write about. But I did have fun writing those short chapters as they still managed to encompass the theme and the romance and feelings.
And yes, it has a corny ending, but sometimes corny endings are just what certain stories need.
And I can safely say, I am able to heave such a heavy sigh of relief knowing that all but two stories are done and finished. Though I operate well with multiple stories to bounce back and forth between, it's nice to be down to just two after all the trouble I've put up with from so many of these rewrites and endings through the months.

But I will only enjoy you for tomorrow as I have three days of NaNoWriMo to catch up on. I'm supposed to have what, five-thousand words done by now? Man...
