This is going to be one fucking long season...

And get ready for another Liverpool rant !

And once again Liverpool failed to take the opportunity to take three points in a game, failed to take this opportunity while United and City had dropped points. Oh, we didn't lose this time but we didn't win either. Considering the way we played up until the last ten minutes, I'd say we should be glad we draw because we certainly didn't deserve to win (although the penalty thing ? I'm so pissed about that I want to punch the referee.) The problems are the same as they were in the precedent matches. I can have the fleeting impression during a moment that we're actually playing better and suddenly we lose the ball stupidly. And we're failing as much on the attack as the midfield as the defense. We fail all around and this is painful to watch. (And I was so right to be nervous as fuck before the match.)

FUCK THE DEFENSE.

While our latest arrival, Paul Konchesky was probably one of the best players of the match, our defense has still some severe problems.

1) As much as I like Skrtel, I think starting Danny would have been a better choice :( Now that we have a left back, it might nice to have him back to his real position as a center back.
2) Too much space. The reason we couldn't score against Birmigham ? They left us no space in the box, as opposed to us giving them alot of space, and too many occasion.
3) STOP GIVING AWAY STUPID FREE KICKS, DAMMIT ! ESPECIALLY NEAR THE BOX !

On a very very very positive note, PEPE WAS AMAZING ! He did some incredible saves ♥ And he did save our asses. Without Pepe, we'd been down to three goals easily. So to every stupid fuck who thought Pepe was shit because of the Argentina friendly ? FUCK YOU, PEPE IS TEH SHIT !

FUCK THE MIDFIELD.

Very important, the midfield. Don't have a proper midfield, can't construct a game, can't feed the striker(s), can't fucking score, can't keep possession. In brief, as long as we don't have a proper midfield, we might as well be fucked roughly, without lube or condonj. It was once again painful to see the midfield so uncreative, so struggling to create anything. The Lucas-Poulson combination doesn't work (although Lucas did try his best.) and what's the point having a new and better midfielder if you're not going to play him ? (SEE SUBS).  As long as we don't resolve that problem of midfield (and I have a hard time believing we will be able to solve it without buying really good players, which we won't do until we got new owners.) we won't be able to do anything and we won't be able to get back into the Champions' League next year.

Honourable Mention to Steven Gerrard, while he may have not play his best (Why are you playing better in the NT ? ;_; Should be the opposite !), for playing the whole match while bleeding from his right ear. (He could have been subbed because of that which would have been a smart decision, but at the same time, I don't know what it would have done to the moral of the team to see Gerrard subbed that early.)

FUCK THE ATTACK.

Well, yes and no. Fernando is not 100% fit yet. We know that, comms. You don't need to repeat every time he touches the ball, every time he makes a mistake. WE KNOW. BELIEVE ME WE KNOW BETTER THAN ANYONE ELSE. That said, although Torres's performance was sub par to be honest, it wasn't entirely his fault that he couldn't score. When you're not feed ball, or even playable balls, no matter how good you are, you ain't gonna score. You can't lay the blame entirely on Torres, as you can't lay the blame entirely on one player. The whole team (save for Pepe, whose match was awesome all around.) is to be blame from playing like that. (The draw isn't so much an issue as the way we played. Birmingham hold a fantastic record at home, having only lost twice at home in the past season. You can therefore easily deduce that Brum is a hard team to beat at home. My beef isn't with the draw but with the way we played.) And it worries me to see Liverpool slugging in the middle of the table, not being able to shine and kick ass like it used to. It worries me that even though Fernando is very loyal to the club (cute interview here. I awww-ed), if the club can't get its shit together, he will leave :( And that would be the last blow to an already crumbling Liverpool.

FUCK THE OWNERS.

Crumbling because of these fuckings owners who have ruined the club more than anyone before, who refuse to sell the club to someone who would actually really care and work for the team, who prevent us from spending good money on more good players (WE MADE A FUCKING PROFIT THIS TRANSFER SEASON. WE DONT NEED THE MONEY WE NEED PLAYERS), who spent the little money we make not for the club, who tried to mortgage Anfield and Melwood and the players (And I'm raging just thinking about that)

I need to do that.

FUCK THE MANAGER

Yeah, fuck you, Roy. I've said it. Everything seemed fine and peachy in the beginning. New manager meant changes, new ways of doing things. Then why are you doing the same things Rafa did ? (and not as good as he did from what I read)  SUBS EXISTS FOR A FUCKING REASON. WHEN THINGS AREN'T GOING WELL THAT'S WHAT SUBS ARE FOR. WHEN YOU HAVE A NEW MIDFIELDER THAT MIGHT JUST HAVE WHAT LFC NEED TO BE MORE COHESIVE AND CREATIVE, YOU DON'T SAY BEFORE THE MATCH THAT YOU WON'T PLAY HIM. THEN YOU DON'T WAIT UNTIL THE LAST TEN-FIFTEEN MINUTES TO PUT HIM INTO THE GAME BECAUSE YOU'RE FINALLY REALISING THAT WE NEED HIM. YOU SAY YOU WANT TO SEE BABEL PLAY BUT YOU WONT PLAY HIM (OH I KNOW WHAT YOU'RE PLANNING, YOU WILL PLAY THEM IN THE EUROPA LEAGUE MATCHES MORE THAN THE EPL.) TORRES WASN'T AT HIS BEST, YOU HAD N'GOG AND BABEL ON THE BENCH, THEY'RE NOT DECORATIONS ! WHEN YOU LOOK AT THE WAY WE PLAYED (STILL STRUGGLING BUT MUCH BETTER MUCH MUCH BETTER) WHEN MEIRELES WAS IN ? MAKES ME WANT TO TAKE BY THE SHOULDERS AND SHAKE YOU SILLY. AND STOP STOP WITH THE INTERVIEWS AFTER THE MATCH WHEN YOU ALWAYS SAY THAT THE MATCH WASN't SO BAD, AND A DRAW IS BETTER THAN A LOSS, AND BLABLABLA. MAYBE FOR A TEAM LIKE FULHAM (SRRY TO ANY FULHAM FANS.) THAT WAS OKAY BUT THIS IS LIVERPOOL. WE'RE SUPPOSED TO BE IN THE BIG FOUR, DAMMIT !  WE'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO BE CONTENT WITH THE WAY WE PLAYED FOR 80 MINUTES. WE HAVE TO BE ABLE TO SAY WE WERE SHITE WHEN WE WERE.

FML. BEING A LIVERPOOL FAN IS PAINFUL SOMETIMES.

FUCK THE REFEREE.

THAT FUCKING FOUL ON TORRES IN THE BOX ? DESERVED A FUCKING PENALTY AND EVEN THE COMMS CALLED IT. WE MIGHT NOT HAVE DESERVE THE WIN BUT WE FUCKING DESERVED THE PENALTY. FUCKING REF. (And the naive part of me likes to believe we would have played better with a one-goal lead. Pah.)

FUCK INJURIES.

YOU CAN FEEL HOW MUCH WE NEED DIRK KUYT IN THIS TEAM (FUCK YOU TO ALL THE HATERS.), THE MONTH HE'S OUT FOR IS GOING TO BE HARDER  FOR LIVERPOOL. FUCK INTERNATIONAL DUTY FOR SCREWING US OVER EVEN IF TORRES WASN'T INJURED. (We're not the only one though.)

FUCK MY DREAMS.

Last night, among other football dreams (I dream of football every night nowadays), I dreamt that I was watching the Brum - LFC match, and that we were winning 2-0 (Torres scoring the first one and I can't remember who scored the second.) and as I was watching, I suddenly realised I was dreaming because EVEN IN MY DREAMS I FUCKING KNEW WE DID NOT WON. SRSLY. It really went like that : " This can't be real. We didn't won against Birmingham ! WE DREW !'

SomeA lot of words on the other matches of last week (which I was supposed to post in a previous post but LJ fucked up on me and I lost all of it.)

I’m back for the middle of nowhere, and in fact it wasn’t that bad and I even managed to get some football-related stuff (such as a stickers album for last year’s UEFA Champions’ League with Torres on the cover. How could I ever resist ?)

Now onto the matches, starting with the Euro 2012 qualifiers.

Since I was in the middle of nowhere for four days, it meant I had no Internet, which in itself meant no watching any streams, no watching any England, Germany or the Spain friendly match. It also meant that I would probably have to wait until the morning to know the scores or if anyone’s got injured (I’m not talking about Torres, nope….). I don’t think I would have slept that well if I did have to wait. In the end, I didn’t have to wait for the score since I decided to watch Bosnia-Herzegovina - France. Might as welll use any opportunities to watch football, and this way I was able to know the scores of the other matches (even though I did not know about injuries :\)

I watched the match with my grandparents and it was quite a weird experience. My grandfather knows quite a bit about football (although he knows more about football from some times ago than he does now.) and he still watches the match of the French NT. It was nice to be able to chat with him a bit, quietly. My grandmother was something else altogether. She was really getting into it, yelling when a French player was fouled and when they scored later on (and she was mimicking my sudden liking for Benzema. It was weird on both counts.). As for the performance of the NT, I have to say it was good on some parts, and bad on some others.  They’re slowly getting used to playing with each other but they can still make silly mistakes such as losing the ball, make passes too long. They need to work on the defence, although it got better and better as the match went on. It was an enjoyable match, barring some frustrations at some silly mistakes and the ball not going into the net ;) France dominated the match this time, let’s just hope the team doesn’t fall prey to arrogance and keep it cool until the next match.

Something weird happened during the match though. I almost supported France and I actually want them to win, I was cheering on them. This is not normal. I’m not patriotic when it comes to football anymore, dammit ! (It was confusing ! When Bosnia had the ball , I sometimes wanted them to score and suddenly I was relieved because France got the ball back.) To be honest, this has probably a lot of to do with the fact that we weren’t playing like shite for once and also that I really wanted Benzema to score. (Where the hell does that come from ?  I’m suddenly liking Benzema. I’m sure it’s a Real Madrid afflicition, making me like more and more RM players.) I was so fucking happy (« Oui, oui, oui, ouuuuuui ! » No, I‘m not orgasming.) when he scored. This is definitely weird. The second goal was quite a funny goal. Matthieu Valbuena tripped as he was going for goal, but as he was tripping he managed to pass the ball to Malouda who scored. I can’t help but laughing each time I see the goal.

On a  serious note, some Bosnia stupid fuck decided that fair play was overrated and threw a firecracker on the pitch, very close to Mexès. The referee immediately urged the Bosnian captain to tell  his fans to calm their shit and he did so. I can’t understant this kind of behaviour. What’s the point of winning that way ? Mexès could have been injured. I just can’t find the logic in that. It reminds me of the laser accident when Liverpool were in Trabzonspor and some stupid fuck thought it would be nice to try and blind Pepe. (It was dealt with quickly fortunately.) This is such a stupid reaction from a fan, it’s mindboggling. (Although it’s football, so I shouldn’t be that surprised.)

Next match : 9/10. I might be able to watch it because I don’t have any other match on that day (but three on the day before. FML.), if only for Benzema or Valbuena :D

Switzerland - England. 3-1. England is on fire ! Too bad they couldn’t do that in South Africa, too bad the manager did not select the good players for the WC. Let’s hope he’s learned his lesson this time. First goal was by Rooney, probably a fuck you to all the tabloids who tried smearing him recently. It was good thing that he scored I think ;) And I say that as someone who doesn’t like him. Second goal was by Adam Johnson (why are you playing for Shitty ? ;_;), I wonder if he got another big hug from his captain… ? Third goal was by Darren Bent. (Poor guy must have suffered in school.) On a more serious note, two players were injured during the match. Theo Walcott (who can’t escape Arsenal’s Injury Curse, apparently :\) will be out for four to six weeks for an ankle injury, and Jermaine Defore could be out for one or two months for an ankle injury as well. Both their clubs and the NT will miss them greatly :\

Germany - Azerbaijan. 6-1. Hello, Germany ! That’s quite an impressive scoreline. First goal by Westermann, second goal by Podolski, third goal by Klose but served on a silver platter by Podolski (who could have gone for goal if he wanted to)(I liked Klose’s reaction, you could imagine him saying ‘Oh yooooooooou !’), fourth goal by an own goal by Azerbaijan’s Captain, fifth goal by Badstuber (I always love it when defenders score.), and last goal by Klose. (HE STILL GOT IT !)

Argentina - Spain. 4-1. Ouch. Although you have to remember that this was a friendly and not all members of the first team played. As a selfish Liverpool, I have to say I’m happy that Torres did not play. This way, no risk for him to get injured. As a caring Liverpool, I’m sad for Pepe. He let in three goals and I can already hear the hateful and stupid comments from stupid people, who can’t even think. 1) The two first goals he let in ? Not entirely his fault. His defense left him alone in front of the striker (Messi & Higuain) to deal with them. And Pepe is not Iker. (HE IS STILL TEN MILLION KINDS OF AWESOME THOUGH) 2) The third goal was an accident. He slipped at the wrong time and an Argentinian player was there to take the opportunity.  3) One bad day doesn’t make one goalkeeper shit. Looking at the amazing saves he made in the past and how many times he saved Liverpool’s collective asses, you have to be an ignorant fuck to say PEPE sucks. 4) The whole team wasn‘t playing well. Villa played deeper than he used to avoid being offsides (again…) The defense was also lacking, leaving Pepe and Valdes (who also let one in) in trouble. It’s still a friendly and not such a big deal, I think. It’s certainly not the end of the world. It might be good also for them to lose once in a while, to avoid being complacent.

Now that the leagues have resumed.

Bayern München - Werder Bremen.  0-0. An unsurprising draw for a pretty even match between the two teams. Bayern has the same problem as their last Bundesliga match against Kaiserslautern, they managed to construct their attack but they can’t finish it. BAYERN, YOU HAVE TO GET UR SHIT TOGETHER IF YOU WANT TO WIN THE CUP. I‘m just saying.

Real Madrid - Osasuna. 1-0 Since Barcela had lost earlier, Real Madrid (unlike Liverpool) couldn‘t miss such an opportunity to get more points. RM didn’t. But once again, their performance was poor, very preseason-like, with a boring first half, and a slightly better second half. Many missed occassions (This wasn’t your day, Pipita. And rein in that frustration, Ronaldo, or else you won’t be getting better.) and some stupid fouls. Goal by scored by Carvalho, a defender. (I want a goal by Sergio !) Özil had a very good match, building up many occasion and might have an assist for the RM goal. (And the night following that match, I dreamt that I was in the supermarket (can’t remember what I was doing there) and Özil was there, and we were friends, and we were hiding from someone, and at the end we snogged. And I don’t even fancy him IRL. What is my subconscious telling me ?
Shallow remarks. : I prefer Xabi without his beard ;) (reminds me of Liverpool though ;_;), lots of close-ups of Sergio (Sometimes I like the new haircut, sometimes I don‘t), no nekkidness at the end ;_;.

On a related and more serious note, I want to talk about RED CARD homophobia. (and my new icon.)

It started with a post on ontd_football , rehashing some commentaries Ballack's manager had made after the WC concerning the German NT and the 'homosexual conspiracy/gay combo' that lead the NT, and it was because of them that Germany hadn't won. (NVM that it is that very same team who made his way to the semi-finals.) and it sparked a discussion about the rampant homophobia in football, and how little is actually done to fight it (as opposed to racism for instance.) Then a member (a very intelligent member!)  suggested that this community (ontd_fb) try to do something about it, that the fans should also fight homophobia within the sport and show their support to possibly gay players. A post was then made by scruby  for everyone to suggest ideas to organise this new cause, this fight against homophobia. Many suggestions were posted (ranging from trending #redcardhomophobia on twitter to thinking about selling/giving away ribbons/badges/tshirt to promote the cause.)

A blog, a twitter, a facebook page and a tumblr were created. A whole lj community was created, rc_homophobia  (I invite you to join and check these few  posts.)

I think it's a very good thing that it's a community like ontd_fb (who might seem to be just fun and games and fapping and NOT SRS BNS) is one of those who decide to take the initiative to do something about this issue.

And I need to find a way to get involved. I think I'll try to find a way to print the flyer and give it away at school. Or at least, I could wear a sticker or badge who say something about it. I'm usually a shy person but on an issue like that, which is dear to me, I might try and be more extraverted.

(Sorry for any typos or mistakes in the post. I'll reread it later.)
