A quick post about cinema ^_^
First I'll talk shortly about the Quantum of Solace Premiere in Paris and then I'll chat bit about Hellboy and Quantum of Solace.
The premiere of QoS took place on last Thursday at the UGC Normandie in Paris. The Cast and Crew (?) were there but it wasn't as good for me as it could have been. First, it had been raining cats and dogs all day and it stopped a bit before the arriving of the C&C. But as a result, they passed quickly before the photographers and did not stay much. Secondly, I was very badly place thanks to the shitty configuration chosen by the staff of the premiere.
There were two sides of the carpet. On one side, the public was separated from the red carpet by the path to the entrance of the cinema. One the other side, the public was separated by a line of photographers which indeed blocked the view a lot. Guess on which I happen to be ? The latter. Why ? Because they set the configuration while people were already waiting =_=... And I got screwed. I still manage to see some people fortunately. But not as good as I could have >_< And it does infuriates me >_< I'm going to be more careful tomorrow.
Anyway, while we were waiting, my wife and I in the cold rain (I'll make it up to you, I swear é_è), several persons passed such as Alain Chabat, Sonia Roland, Jeremy Renier. Last to arrive the cast of QoS, Mathieu Amalric, Olga Kurylenko and, accompanied by screams of hysterical fangirls, Daniel Craig :D
Tomorrow, I'm going to another Premiere, Body of Lies in Paris, at the Gaumont Marigan. I'll be more careful where I stand :D It might be funny because I'm going for Russel Crowe while I can bet most girls out there will be waiting for Leeeeeeeo 8D I shall be lost in a midst of fangirls. Damn.
Now, I went to the Cinema on Friday to see Hellboy II & Quantum of Solace and I have to say my feelings are quite mixed.
Hellboy II
As expected, I was a bit disappointed by the film. Visually, it's gorgeous but it pales a bit plot-wise. I think it's sometimes too predictable and you wonder sometimes why is there such or such scene. I knew how it would end as soon as they showed the physical link between Blondie and his sister. It was like saying "Ooooh look, he bleeds, she bleeds. I wonder if she could kill him by killing herself" Of course, she bloody can and she bloody will. I'm a bit biased because I was cheering for Blondie the all time but I knew it would not end well any way. The romance between Abe & Blondie's sister was sometimes painfully obvious. And I do love Abe >> but... pleaaaase you're not a blabbling fool.
And I ship now Blondie/Abe >_>... He's way better and prettier than his sister.
To conclude, the film wasn't bad but it could have been better. I did have a good time watching it all the same ^_^
Quantum of Solace.
I wasn't disappointed 8DDD I loooooooved. Although Casino Royale is better, QoS was a good James Bond and what you can expect of a James Bond film. As in 'Daniel Craig half-naked ♥', 'a good dose of action and violence', ' a touch of humour', 'car chase & boat chase', 'bond being a womaniser'..etc 8D I particularly like the fact that James Bond was presented with a real human nature, motivated by vengeance although he denies it until the end. I also liked the fact that it was a direct following to CR.
To be brief, I loved it. And I want another one, which we probably will have 8D At the end of the credit, they wrote 'James Bond will be back'. He'd better be 8D
That's it for this post ^__^
