Summary: After the first concert after the split up.
Author Notes: Written after watching the concert version of 'Full Swing'...so yeah, rather emotional I guess. Forgive me for this, but I had to write this.
Full Swing
There was a silent knock on his door of his hotel room and even before Shige opened the door, he could tell who it was.
He got out of bed and opened the door. Koyama looked at him with eyes that were overshadowed by wet eyelashes and his heart did this familiar squeeze-thing.
Can I come in?
Those eyes asked him silently and he stepped aside. Koyama shuffled past him and straight under the covers of his bed. He followed and crawled next to the other.
Koyama turned so that he could look right at him.
“NEWS has a tomorrow, Shige.”
It was a silent whisper in the dark, but for him it was loud and strong enough to break the dam again. Tears welled out of his eyes and ran down his cheeks into the soft cotton of the pillowcase.
“I thought NEWS…had died.” He whispered in a just as silent voice, too scared to speak louder in case all this was just a dream and could fall apart again.
Koyama’s bottom lip quivered and the older one shook his head no.
“Even if our old dreams crumbled…we can still step forward…”
“…and create new ones.” Shige finished.
“Let’s conquer our future in Full Swing.”
Shige curled his fingers into Koyama’s sleeve and held on.
They didn’t say anything more because everything was said, but Koyama stayed and together they basked in the afterglow of their revival.
NEWS would move on in Full Swing.

Dedicated to Koyashige because I believe they feared the most for their future (even though Tegomass are of course lovely as well)
