We are 138 hours into tag approving and are down to 343 fandom nominations to sort out of our original 5115. We're getting there! Please help us get the tag set ready for you by answering some questions.
2001: A Space Odyssey (1968) - As well as Dave Bowman, Frank Poole, and HAL 9000, SAL 9000 is nominated. Nominator, could you please clarify what you meant, as SAL 9000 is not in the 1968 movie?
A Black Lady Sketch Show (TV 2019) - As well as specific skit characters, there were several nominations for the performers names': Robin Thede, Ashley Nicole Black, Quinta Brunson, and Gabrielle Dennis. Nominators, could you please clarify - do these women sometimes play characters in the skits who share their own names? Or did you want RPF? Or something else?
City of Hunger (Video Game) - This has not yet been released. Could we please get confirmation it will come out before November 4?
鹿鼎記 | The Duke of Mount Deer (TV 1984) - It looks as though there were two 1984 productions - one made in China and one in Taiwan. Nominator, which did you want, please? The characters are 康熙皇帝 | Hong-hei Emperor (TV 1984) and 韋小寶 | Wai Siu-bou (TV 1984).
Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War - There is a nomination for this fandom label, with characters Arvis, Diadora | Deirdre, Siglud | Sigurd, and Yuria | Julia; there is also a nomination for Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War & Thracia 776, as proposed here, with characters Altena, Brigid, Finn, and Lewyn. Nominator for Genealogy of the Holy War, do you have an opinion on combining this with Thracia 776?
Frozen Planet (2011) RPF - Could the nominator please clarify the nomination of White Penguin? Is there a specific (albino??) penguin with distinct actions? Is this from a DVD special feature?
ゲゲゲの鬼太郎 | GeGeGe no Kitarou (Anime) - Nominator, could we confirm which anime, please? Or all they all contiguous? The characters are Hakaba Kitaro, Neko-Musume, Nezumi Otoko, and Sunakake Babaa.
"Halfway People" - Karen Joy Fowler - For the character "The Queen's Brother", could we get some clarification, please? The queen seems to have more than one brother.
I'm a Member of the Midnight Crew - Eddie Morton (Song) - This has been nominated with characters Narrator (Midnight Crew), Narrator's Wife (Midnight Crew), Robbers (Midnight Crew), and The Midnight Crew (Midnight Crew). (Thanks for the disambiguations). It's not really clear to us if the Midnight Crew is a group overlapping the Narrator or something else - clarify please? Does this song need character nominations for what you were hoping to offer or request?
LGBT British Royalty RPF - This has been nominated with characters James VI and I, Richard II of England, Robert Carr 1st Earl of Somerset, and Robert de Vere Duke of Ireland. We are fine with approving this group of characters together, but we'd appreciate some help with the label. RPF labels chosen one year are often used again in future years. Characters in the tag set in all hues of sexuality and gender - yes please! Tagmods having to decide if a member of British royalty, etc, is LGBT - please no. Please help us futureproof this with a narrower tag? You do not have to make the label less gay. Just less broad.
Mojo Magical Horse Figurines - Nominator of "Mojo Unicorn", could you please clarify which unicorn you wanted for? There's already a Dark Unicorn and a Rainbow Unicorn. Gold? Pink? Rainbow Foal?
Peanuts - This is nominated with Charlie Brown, Lucy van Pelt, Marcie (Peanuts), and Peppermint Patty (Peanuts). Nominator, which medium did you want?
Red Embrace (Video Games) - We're having some trouble finding Jack. Nominator, could you please confirm (and is he also from the Hollywood game?) Also, screencaps give us Saorise - is she spelled that way throughout the game?
Short Term 12 - Nominator, did you want the 2009 short film or the 2013 full-length film? Characters are Grace, Jessica, Mason, and Nate.
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937) - The Dwarves are nominated as a group. Nominator, could you please pick a dwarf?
The Sound of Music - Rodgers/Hammerstein/Lindsay & Crouse - One of the nominations is for the Von Trapp children. Could the nominator please choose specific children?
Swan Lake (Bourne) We have both the Stranger and the Swan nominated, but they seem to be the same character. Nominators, could you please clarify?
Tales of the Five Hundred Kingdoms - Mercedes Lackey - We can't find the character Ivan the Fool. Is this Sasha, or a different Ivan? Other characters nominated are Elena, Ekaterina, and Sir George.
Untitled Goose Game - We have the following character nominations: Boy, Gardener, Goose, Messy Neighbor, Tidy Neighbor, Pub Patron in Blue, Pub Patron in Yellow, Shopkeeper, Groundskeeper, The Man, The Villagers, The Wimp, The Woman. We have the following questions: Are the Gardener and the Groundskeeper the same or different? Which characters are meant by The Man and The Woman? Apart from The Villagers, do any of the other characters overlap? (The Villagers seem to cover a lot of the other characters so we would tend not to accept them as a group, but if you wanted someone else…?) HONK.
Urban Animal (Webcomic) - We're having trouble finding some of the characters. Nominator, could you please confirm N'dagoshii, and confirm that Ralabast and Joe are separate characters?
Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea - Nominator, did you want the movie or the TV show? Lee Crane is nominated.
Winnie-the-Pooh - A. A. Milne - Lumpy does not appear to be a character in Milne's books. Nominator, could you confirm that character's existence in the books, choose a different character, or let us know if you wanted a Disney canon?
W.I.T.C.H. - If you nominated Caleb (W.I.T.C.H.), Cornelia Hale, Oracle (W.I.T.C.H.), and Phobos Escanor, could you please link to your nominations page and choose either the comics or the cartoon?
