I'm NOT INTERESTED

Jun 30, 2011 08:55

Because I have problems walking long distances, I've been taking the bus to get to work on almost a daily basis. I usually get to the stop about ten minutes early, because I'm eternally paranoid of missing the bus.

For the past couple of days, since the start of the week, I've had a stalker come around. Basically, he hovers around me when I read, gets into my face, and no matter how far away I move, just when I think I've lost him, there he is hovering over me again. It's really annoying, because I KNOW I make it quite clear that I'm not interested.

The thing is, though, that I'm not quite sure that baby bees understand English.

It's pretty obvious that I have an intense phobia of bees. Ask Terry - if I so much as see one close to me, I scream, cover my head and ears, and hide behind him. But there was something so tiny and harmless about this tiny creature that didn't make me afraid. So I just moved around instead of screaming and running. And s/he still insisted on following me.

Of course my only admirers are insects. I suppose that's what happens when I wear perfume that makes me smell like a sugar cookie.
