Tekko Con Report
LOL...the yuki actually gets to write a con report!
Spent Saturday at Tekkoshocon. I really wish that I could have gotten friday off of work and spent the weekend there. That will be the plan for next year!
Anyways, went with my husband, the puppy, Dirty, his new girlfriend, and Sky. We had a blast. I think we "broke" the puppy 4 or 5 times by making him laugh too hard. We didn't make him have a nose bleed from laughing like we have in the past but it was a near thing. There were tears involved.
I totally spent too much money on Bleach paraphenalia. I got a huge Renji figure for $30!!! *squee* I also got 4 of the smaller ones: Aizen, Bankai!Ichigo, Rukia, & Ishida. And a Renji shirt. My husband bought only a tiny Alucard (hellsing) figure. LOL. big spender.
Sky and the girlfriend spent some time in a Gaia panel and won some cool shit. We watched some Gurren Lagan which seemed really interesting - will have to seek out some more.
I didn't take as many pictures as I should have - there were soooo many good cosplayers there. I didn't get a good shot of a toddler dressed as Ryo-ohki from Tenchi. She was adorable!
The best part was when we went to the Eyeshine Q&A. Those guys are just too funny! My husband had snuck and bought me an Ichigo drawing from teh artist alley that was just amazing so I would have somethign nice for Johnny Yong Bosch to sign. I got the autographs of the rest of the band too. AJ even told me I have beautiful eyes! *squee*
I'm wearing the bleach chibi shirt (note the new hair cut) and Sky is in yellow.
Most amusing cosplay IMHO... but the guy was really creepy and couldn't do the voice right. My husband went around the rest of the day after seeing him tlaking like the Monarch and the henchmen. (which eventually broke the puppy with laughter)
after we left, the girlfriend (who's originally from Pittsburgh) took us to a sushi and japanese buffet that was just awesome! sooo much seafood!
All in All, I am sorry that i missed the masquerade but we had so much fun. I can't wait to go back next year!
