I'm aware that American schools use the credit system, but this is England, so it doesn't apply here. They use the British system, and that kind of clause does not exist at all.

[[Harry and all 5th years were required to see their Head of House to discuss future prospects; this is simply a more indepth version of that. And Yukari's assignments have been obligatory since the beginning of the school year. Most are honored in, but those that have not been done can be called upon for the sake of plottage.]]

Even so, Lady is not a fifth year. And for things like this, John has to be consulted as a consenting guardian. I'm sure you received Amy's comment as well. Next time please run it through her before you do anything.

I tried, but I couldn't find an AIM name through which to contact her.

Contolling a character's major actions (such as holding them back a grade) without their permission is god-modding. One of the exceptions is if the two muns have pre-agreed to let their characters do pretty much whatever to the other. In this case, Amy and Qing have a pre-arrangement thing going on with John and Lady.

I have to run to work, but I'll be back later on this afternoon.

Yukari has no intention of holding Lady back a grade; she never did. That's why she offered several options for Lady to finish the assignments that the other characters have done. And like I said, it required no action on Lady's part in actuality; a simple OoC "Lady showed up for the meeting and said very little" would have been more than sufficient.

In any case, Amy is pretty pissed right now, so I would HIGHLY suggest going to Lady's current entry and trying to explain your actions. I do NOT want drama in here over some small and stupid thing right now.

I agree, though I thought it best to give Amy her space until she cools down, lest I be perceived as invading her own territory. Qing seemed to indicate that Amy is aware of what's been said here based on Amy's statements made through Qing.

When Amy has calmed down and is ready to talk, I'd be glad to try to work this out in as amicable a way as possible. I just worry about approaching Amy first and seeming 'confrontational'.

Kurama, perfect student that he is, wouldn't be missing any assignments :] He's also thinking about becoming either an Auror or a researcher at the Ministry of Magic (or both, if possible), if he was asked during the career counseling sessions.

Yukari: Auror, eh? Honorable profession. 'Course there's an higher likelihood you'll get yourself killed. Researcher would be safer, but the pay is lousy. Death pays well. No, you'll never make much as a researcher. Unless you invite something big. Preferably something that kills things. Those always pay big bucks.

Shuichi: I... wasn't thinking about what I would earn, but money is indeed an important factor.

Yukari: Exactly! So if you become a researcher, you'll want to invent something that kills things!
