icon tutorial 2; Leah Dizon

I'm not done with my icons and next resource post yet, so here's another tutorial for all of you. Spring break has been a bummer for me. Most of my other friends were either still in school, on break longer than me, or they work. I want to kick something, lmao. Anywho, I haven't written a tutorial in so long, so I hope this helps. I promise to have something up later this week.



*If your image is dark, duplicate it and set it to screen. I didn't do anything to mines.

01. Open a curves layer ; LAYER > NEW ADJUSTMENT LAYER > CURVES and apply these settings
RGB
INPUT: 101
OUTPUT: 132


02. Make another curves layer and apply these settings
RED
(point one)
INPUT: 163
OUPUT: 151
(point two)
INPUT: 79
OUPUT: 94




03. Make a color balance layer; LAYER > New ADJUSTMENT LAYER > COLOR BALANCE and apply these settings
MIDTONES: -23 , -21 +14
SHADOWS: -10 , -5, -13


04. Make a new layer, fill it with #540000 and set it to EXCLUSION; Opacity 50% Fill 40%


05. Make a new layer, fill it with #fff6b8 and set it to COLOR BURN; Opacity 60%
