It's been forever since I've posted here, isn't it.

Started Pokemon X version, thought of wanting to do GLINDA updates because you can give the player character makeovers in this game! GLINDA-verse Joanna would love it!

Current team as of arrival in Lumiose City is Chespin, Zigzagoon, Fletchling, Squirtle, and Ralts. I'm challenging myself to catch no more Pokemon than will fill the active party, so as you can see I only have one slot left (which I suspect will get filled with a handout, unless I start boxing handouts). I'm happy with my choices, though, these should have pretty good type coverage between them and I won't be wanting for any HM users.

IRL, Mom has asked me to do advertising cards for a local charity-based thrift store upscale secondhand clothing boutique she volunteers at. This will give me "portfolio" work, and hopefully bring some customers to the... boutique.

For now, the working design is a lady uncomfortably attending a Christmas party wearing a paper bag because she didn't buy a nice dress.

We're also looking at apartments for me to finally move out.

I'm still employed after five months! After training in Quality Control, I am now the sole Receiving Inspections worker for my company. They previously had nobody to look at what parts suppliers were sending them, so the workers were getting shitty parts to work with and the suppliers have shitty return policies. My job is to find the shitty stuff as it's being delivered, before it becomes an issue and/or can't be returned. If there aren't any fresh deliveries to look at, I work with Quality Control on the stuff our guys are producing instead.

It's tedious, but quite fun, actually. I've developed good rapport with the production workers because I constantly have to ask them whether XYZ is too damaged to use, and I've learned to kowtow to the tyrannical Inventory lady whenever I have to mark something "return to sender".

I'm allowed to have drinks at my workstation, provided they're in a cup with a lid (and no alcohol, obvs., because drunk quality control doesn't do very well, and I have to drive home). Usually I drink the workplace coffee (black with sugar, 'cause I can't stand fake creamer), but lately I've been bringing some herbal tea packets to work so I can ease off on the caffeine after lunch, as chemical-induced insomnia isn't fun when I have to get up the next day. I might start doing some research and make tea a new hobby.

I get a short morning break, a half-hour lunch break, and an afternoon break, and I tend to bring fruits, vegetables, or granola bars as snacks for the breaks and sammich supplies, dinner leftovers, or noodles for lunch. Otherwise I have to go out and come back and it takes longer than half an hour so I have to stay late to compensate, and the most convenient restaurant is fried chicken which is tasty but SO BAD FOR ME AND MY FACE, I AM TOO OLD TO HAVE THE ACNE.

I'm allowed to have music at my workstation, provided I can still listen to people. I usually pull out my earbuds when people are talking to me so I can show them I'm paying attention. A friend gave me the entire Nightwish discography (also Sabaton and Sonata Arctica, but I've mainly been using the Nightwish), and I bought Lindsey Stirling's digital album, Ephixa's Legend of Zelda-step digital album, and Pokemon Reorchestrated: Kanto Symphony (I should totally get the Zelda Reorchestrated collection... maybe binge around on Golden Sun remixes/arranges, too).
