I don't understand services in Japan

Yes yes I'm alive

but I'm buried by piles of homework...

How come I suppose to know what's "standard deviation" called in Japanese T_T It needs triple the energy compared to when I was studying at my country using my mother tounge O_O Like, even if I look up the dictionary for the meaning those difficult terms, I cannot make sense of the whole paragraph 8D I hope I could pass my classes xDDDD

Anyway, the point of this entry is just as the title.

The people from gas company spent 2 whole days fixing things in my 1-month apartment.

On the first day, they changed my bathtub (O_O). Well, I know the old one looks broken, but I was worried about how much I have to pay, since the new one looks so awesome for my poor standard. I'm kinda confused too. Well, I know there was a heater at my bathroom, but surely it's separated from the bathtub, yet they changed it all O_O Then on that day they checked the heater at the sink and also my stove.

My stove was second-hand... I received it free from my friend who came home to his country (yes I'm stingy like Nino xD). Well, one of the stove was broken, it cannot light up, but the other one was ok so I never really mind about it. But the man from gas company cannot leave it be and even tried to fix it O_O

Then today they came to change the heater at the sink. They said, the old one was dangerous because it doesn't have any sensor, so if there's leakage it will blow up.

The new one looks expensive T_____T

And... they took out my old stove!!!

And they brought in a new one. Shiny and clean and completely working O_O

I was struck with shock one after another so I couldn't even ask how much do those things will cost O_O

at the end, the ojisan made a random conversation, then point out at the new heater and said that this is service so I don't have to pay.

I don't understand...

study, i love japan
