The Twenty Girl

Aug 09, 2012 09:10

Once upon a time, there was a girl who learnt at a very early age, that should would only live for exactly twenty years. She wasn't scared or sad, because while she was five it was still a lot of time to look forward to, and once she became older, she already got used to the idea. You would think she'd have a lot of things that she wanted to do, and so she tried her best to make it in time? Well, you'd be mostly wrong. Knowing our time limit doesn't automatically make us talented, or inspired, now does it?
However, the girl, let's call her Mai, she decided it would be a bit sad to just go and die, so she made a list of things she wanted to do in her life. It wasn't a particularly long list, and it sure changed a lot over years. Some of the entries were very simple, like 'eat vanilla ice-cream every summer', some were impossible from the start, like 'visit the Moon', and some required very special set-up, like 'go hitch-hiking on a rainy summer day, and find out where the driver was born, and then go visit that place'.
On her twentieth birthday Mai died, just like she knew she would.

And I will probably never write down the full story, because it smells a mile of boring. Unless, of course, I managed to make it a picturesque epitome of eccentric, sort of schizophrenic set of visions, in which case it would rather be weird.

Still, I'm actually looking for a topic. That's a start.

...if I write something while high on Chara, will it be genius or terrible? Gotta try...
