Blackout!
Yesterday between 7 and 7:30 pm we had a series of brownouts (where we have some electricity but not enough) before out power went out completely. We've had a couple of blackouts in the past but they were usually taken care of in about half an hour.
This time, however, power was out for almost the entire county. Over 100,000 people without electricity. We got lucky and our power was back up between 10:30 and 11 pm last night. So 3 or so hours without power. Some places aren't expected to get power until later today. Ouch.
It was kind of cool. Played Monopoly with the brothers and brother's girlfriend and then walked around the neighborhood with glowsticks. It was very eeiry no having any streetlights, only candles, flashlights, the random car headlights and the moon.
However, I am thankful the airconditioning is back up and running. And the water worked, too.
