Books
Sometimes, I prefer an author's first book or first couple of books to anything they write later. There is something fresh, raw, and rough in first book that grabs me. The first book can be like a piece of early pottery, it may be a little rough but there is a charm, a je ne sais quoi, that it lost as the writer settles into their style.
