Now is also a good time to set out garlic cloves.
I generally save the smallest cloves from a head of garlic and plant them rather than waste my time trying to peel them. In a year or two, you'll be able to harvest a brand new head of garlic.
Wild garlic makes outstanding garlic butter and their topknots of garlic bulblets are ready to be harvested and planted now.
You can also buy a head of "elephant garlic" at the grocery store and plant them. The flowers are very pretty in mid-summer.

Did you know that you can plant peach pits and get decent peach trees? YES!
We harvested nearly a bushel of delicious peaches off our seedling peach tree this year.
All you have to do is plant the pits where you want a peach tree. Peach pits require a winter cold cycle on them before they will germinate, but that's it. When the soil warms up in spring, your pits will germinate on their own.
Hope something here will be useful to you.
