Man, I've had the weirdest dreams lately.
The other night I was chasing a spider all over my apartment and my old house-- couldn't catch the damn thing (it didn't look a great deal like a real spider, either, more like one of the little soot-thingies from Spirited Away, only with more legs.) I was annoyed rather than really upset-- it just wouldn't stay STILL. Not sure what I was going to do with it, but I chased it all over the house I grew up in (my old room kept switching paint colors, from the blue it was when my brother had it to the pale green I painted it myself) and the street out front and then back inside, where it'd be in my current apartment again. Never DID catch the dratted thing.
Last night's dream was actually very pleasant; it involved poking around in a clear, cold stream somewhere in Japan, looking for pottery shards. This might not sound particularly interesting to y'all, but I've done enough of the same thing around ruins in the past (with permission, I hasten to add) so that it was fascinating. I found scraps of blue and white or blue and gray ware, very Asian in design-- there were other people shard-hunting with me, and we had some sort of archaeologist acting as our guide. I found one thing that wasn't exactly pottery; it was a flat stone, carefully carved, silvery white with characters painted on it and some sort of ornate border. The archaeologist got very excited over that one and told me it was thousands of years old and very, very lucky to find.
Heh; that last dream's easy enough to interpret-- tourguide and tourgroup, trekking through the Japanese countryside looking at historical sites. Wow, subconscious, can you be a little less subtle? Talk about painting things in broad strokes--!! But it was fun anyway, so I'm not complaining. ^_^ I'm not too sure about the spider one, though...
