Heh; snagged this from zombiepuppy .  XD

Me, I *like* to cook; always have.  Hate to clean up afterwards (>_<) but I like to cook.  This year I'm taking it easy and making a Key Lime Pie, fresh cranberry sauce and some pumpkin-bread-- nothing fancy.

I have a lot of good memories of my family getting together at holidays.  A huge part of my perceptions (more ( Read more... )

I love to cook, and my husband cleans up afterwards! Anyways, my family does a potluck thing for the holidays, everybody brings something. Of course, with out total lack of organization we have ended up with three turkeys, and no salad before.

This year I'm bringing an apple cobbler ('cause my pie crusts suck) and spiced cranberrys. I love turnip greens and smoked turkey, I wish we were having them this year. ^_^

Scent is important to me as well, certian scents, ranging from hot french frys, to fresh pine, to roasting green chile, are deeply tied to many memories. And I'm likely to describe important occasions in scents and tastes, and much as sounds and sights. Memories of a trip to the ocean with my grandparents, include eating a tuna sandwich, pickled beets, and sweet tea while Grandma pours aloe on my sunburn.

I hope you have a wonderful day, I've got to go pull the cobbler out before it burns. ^__^

I would totally hand off turkey cooking on Christmas if you want to smoke one. I like oven roasted too, but smoked is my favorite.
