Kittens and heroic acts
Okay, all you local types: we need to find a home for a small black kitten, sex indeterminate, rescued from the highway in an act of heroic car-dodging by our own Fergus de Botha.
I just spoke to him on the phone, and he was shaky and adrenaline-zapped; apparently he saw a tiny kitten go running into the middle of morning rush-hour traffic, jerked his car over to the side, and rescued the poor thing just in time to save its furry black tail from being squashed. It's terrified, homeless, and about as pathetic as a kitten can be; can somebody open their home and hearts and take it in? If I could, I would, but considering the current pet-per-apartment ratio of 5:1, I'd say that'd be a bad idea.
On the other hand, y'all, you now have the chance to Do A Good Deed and have a kitten you can honestly name "Freeway" (or whatever; I just like "Freeway". XD)
C'mon, y'all; do a good thing. Don't let this poor orphan (whose eyes, I'm told, are currently blue-shifting-to-green, and whose fur is stark black from tip to tail) end up at the Humane Society. And me, I'm about as broke as I can be, but if somebody'll take him in I'll provide three large bags of kitten-chow to go along. Okay?
Do a good thing; take a chance and give Freeway a home. He (or she) nearly lost his life this morning, and it's the only one she (or he) has. Fergus risked his to save it; don't let that slip away. Contact Fergus or me and one way or another you'll have your little black kitten delivered to you.
