Photos! Weasles and New York collages

^__^  Finally got around to doing something I've been promising myself I'd do since I came back from that trip to NYC last October-- I put together a framed shadowbox of memorabilia from the trip.  Just little stuff-- ticket-stubs and maps, leaves from parks, cards from places I ate at... stuff like that.  But it all means a lot to me and I'm very happy with how it came out (even if I *did* burn the hell out of my hand at the very last stage of framing.  OW OW OW. Hot glue-gun + dropping = white blisters on palm and two fingers. Shit.)

So-- here's a little seven-picture run of the whole thing.  It's hanging on my wall in my bedroom, and it makes me feel warm just to see it.  I had the most amazing time... exploring, learning the subway system, going to the museums, eating ethnic cuisines and Central Park hotdogs, actually *being* in places you only see in movies...  I feel in a way like somehow I cheated; New York's a huge, dirty, smelly city with horrible and tragic things going on everyday; and what did I see?  Nothing but beauty, even in gritty sidewalks and rusty fire-escapes.  The cops I talked to (and there were a lot; I generally like cops) were incredibly nice, I only got swore at as a stupid tourist twice, I chatted with random strangers in parks over and over and never got mugged, nobody tried to sell me any drugs even once, and I liked everything I ate.  WTF??  I just don't know.  But man, am I ever glad I went.  'Eye of the beholder' and all that, I guess.

And, in addition, I took a few pics of the WeezulBois, Tan, Kit and Chai, just because.

Okay, off to have another cup of tea and start cleaning; today's a cleaning day.  Wish I hadn't blistered my stupid hand, because it's NOT going to help much.  Meh; no big deal.
