An open letter to my dearest favorite Japanese actor Miura Haruma

Jul 20, 2020 07:07

Dear Haruma,

It’s only been two days since you passed away. It honestly still hurts.

A friend suddenly called me relaying the devasting news. When I opened facebook that day, you were all over my feed. I couldn't believe it since we're of the same age. I immediately shed tears for you knowing that you're now gone. I didn't know that you were suffering behind that bright smile.

One of my friends recommended “Koizora” to me. That’s the beginning of my admiration for you. You gave life to Hiro, a young man who fell in love with Mika and who wants to be the sky when he dies. I believe you’re now up there watching over your loved ones and fans.

I also can’t forget following your drama “Bloody Monday” when it aired in Japan. This was the time I also became a fan of HaruTake. I remember getting excited and giddy over your friendship with Takeru. I always checked out for updates in your livejournal communities and I always read fan translations of your magazine interviews. I also downloaded some of your TV guestings. I remember fangirling over you almost everyday. Since I am a huge HaruTake fan, I downloaded all your dramas and movies together with Takeru’s projects. I wanted to watch all your shows. I will never forget your trips to New York and Malaysia with Takeru. Seeing you having fun with Takeru was so precious indeed. I once tweeted you that I’m a huge HaruTake fan. I hope you were able to read it.

I wasn’t aware that you were part of Amuse Inc. It was only in late 2011 that I knew because of Amuse Super Handsome Live. You’re one of the reasons why I started Amuse Philippines. I met friends from the fandom because of you. I remember holding a mini fangathering in a memorable Japanese restaurant with a few of your fans who also became my friends now. It’s a huge thanks to you that I have gained friends in this fandom.

You’re now free from emotional pain. I hope you find eternal peace. You will always remain in my heart. Although it will be painful to see you again in your shows, I will not stop watching them over and over again in order to remember you forever. You will be one of my most favorite and dearest Japanese actors who inspires me a lot until to this day. Please know that there are so many people who love you. Takeru, Taka, Kakkun, Kamiki, Dori, all your friends in Amuse, Shirotan, Jun, Macken, all your friends and family are thinking about you. I know it’s already too late but I still want you to know that you are not alone. I hope this message reaches you wherever you are right now.

I will always treasure my fangirling memories with you. Thank you so much, dear Haruma. I hope you find your happiness now and continue to have your brightest smile.

Your forever fan,
Ysa

miura haruma
