KAT-TUN's Ask Yourself regular edition



So, yes! I finally received my Ask Yourself single by KAT-TUN from Hyphens Philippines. The street team ordered this directly from Japan so this is counted in the Oricon Charts! I greatly suggest to order from them next time so your orders can be counted in charts in Japan too. Sadly, I only ordered the regular edition (RE) only since I’m on a low budget. I decided to order the RE since this comes with a limited edition notebook entitled “Task Yourself”. It’s so cute! Head to the instagram video below to get an idea how does the RE look like!

What do I think of all the songs?

I first heard “Ask Yourself” when KAT-TUN made a comeback in Johnny’s Countdown! It was their first performance after their recharging period. I didn’t like it at first but the song is growing on me as I keep on playing it.

Kame’s solo “Wonderful World” sounds so cheerful. Even though KAT-TUN always deliver sharp and edgy tunes, I also love their bright songs. I love this song!

The next song is “Sweet Birthday”. I think this song is very much perfect for couples! It could be a song for a dinner date! You could play this all day long during your birthday. Just imagine that KAT-TUN is serenading you.

Ueda’s solo song sounds so edgy AF! Where did our fairy Ueda go?! The title gives it all: “Ore Melody”. He used the rough version of “I”.

“FUNtastic” is another happy KAT-TUN song. It actually sounds an ARASHI song to me.

Next up is Maru’s solo entitled “The way”. This got to be my most favourite among all of the titles in this single. Biases aside, I think Nakamaru again nailed his solo song. His solo songs always sound so romantic.

I was blown away by “Real Face # 2”. I was surprised on KAT-TUN’s new take on this song. Ueda’s flawless rap, Kame’s high vocals plus Nakamaru’s beatbox = 100% the bomb!

Overall, I think this is a fairly good single since KAT-TUN just came back from their break. I’ll be expecting more, dear KAT-TUN and thank you so much for coming back to us!
