I totally sympathize. We got behind in our mortgage and there was just no way to catch up. I even tried renting the house out with a Property Management company and they found a renter, all seemed ok and then the guys company closed their Tacoma office and they had to move to Phoenix. We couldnt find another renter. I just gave up trying to pay the mortgage and right now they are doing a Short Sale on the house. Bank absorbs the loss but keeps me from Foreclosure. Buying a house was the worst mistake I've even made. It wont happen again until we are in a MUCH better financial position. Hate being a grownup. :)

I understand the roommate situation. When my roommate lost his job he didn't tell me about it until I confronted him about it (a month later, even though I knew about it about a week after he was let go). I decided to move out since we were at the end of the lease because I couldn't afford both of us, nor should I have to. It took awhile to get our friendship back in a comfortable situation, but it has. Just takes time.
