my nicknames...
Over the years, I've earned a number of nicknames from my friends and family. I like this, because it makes me feel loved. It's sort of funny, though, since my name is already so unusual that one might think that I don't really need nicknames. Anyway, here are the ones that are still in use to this day:
Wayloney Bologna - this one mostly comes from my family. It should rhyme if you say it correctly.
Waylong - ths one originated in high school when a bunch of us had an IRC channel that we used to chat on (#cherubrock, anyone?? homagenz, unpetitours, I'm looking in your directions). I believe it was Mandy who accidentally added a "g" on the end of my name and it just stuck. People still do it to this day - I even do it sometimes.
Waylonger-Than-Thou - per dragonabsolut's request, I have added this one. lulz.
Way-Way - This one is sort of a no-brainer. My gay friends in Seattle were the ones who hopped right on board with this one. I like it. It's cute.
Wales - Three completely un-associated friends of mine (sympetrum, lvabfab, and my new friend Rob here in NH) all started calling me this, totally independently of each other. I like it.
Waywo - lil-b's daughter Aliyah came up with this one, and then my aunt Susan picked it up.
It's funny how completely different people will come up with the same nicknames for me.
