It's such a lovely day to have to always feel this way...
I just had a very entertaining conversation with a very drunk Klasie - one of my mom's VERY old friend who also happens to be gay. He only phone's when he's drunk, and then he can never remember what he wanted to say. *grin* He's a sweetheart though, and it was cool speaking to him - I think the last time I saw him I was 12. 0_0
On another note, I went with my mom and brother to Hartebeespoort Dam last night to celebrate my aunts birthday, and my mother got so motherlessly drunk my aunt had to drive her home. Leaving me to drive my brother (and the car) home. That was so ILLEGAL. But better that than having her drive. People die like that. Eck.
Earlier that afternoon I was at Cool Runnings for the Gordon's Suitcase gig. Saw Damon (l1qu1d_sky and Meleen - who I haven't seen in ages and have missed a whole bunch, so that was awesome. Also glad they got to finally listen to Gordon's. There's also this really cool band called Menage Tois (it's french - you french lot help me out with the spelling?). The lead singer is a lesbian with long brown curly hair and the most amazing husky yet tori-like voice. *dead* Had a nice, relaxed afternoon. Actually, make that a nice relaxed weekend - for a change.
icarusinwax slept over at my place on friday..and (as we always do on stilnox) we dressed up and took photos! *facepalm* Twas fun though, and Icarus bought these really awesome masks that we wore...Love, you mind posting the photos? *bats eyelashes* (Also, sorry about not coming over on Sunday..I would've been able to cancel if I had my phone with me.. :( My mom really wanted me to go with to Harties - and good thing I did - and that was right after the first gig. Which was when I was planning to visit so yeah.)
Talking about photos, I developed mine!! *bounce* The action cricket ones came out really retarded so I won't even go into that. But the photo's of the Gordon's gig at Adlou I was quite happy with. There were about 3 that really came out awesome - I'm entering them into the photography competition at the club I very recently joined. *wibble* We'll see how that goes. But in the meantime, I'm taking rolls of film for which I don't have the money to develop - the only thing that sucks about it. I want to be able to see exactly what comes of it, so I know how to improve. But all in good time, I'll say. *covets a digital* Not that I don't love my parents' MY film camera. *huggles ricoh*
Hm, my phone got stolen at Nile, so I've been very out of contact with my friends. Which is a big bummer. Hopefully I'll get my upgade soon. I never thought I'd be able to live without one...I guess I was wrong. But I still wanna talk to my fwends! :( That and I lost all the numbers on my phone. So I am frantically networking to try and get them all back before my birthday bash. Which is in less than a months time. *GIANT WIBBLE* I need to start organising! *frets*
Icarus, I caught the tail end of a documentary on planet hunters (which I would've taped for you if our video machine worked) and it was quite cool. The one quote I very much liked was: Telescopes are monuments to mankinds curiosity. By telescopes I think she meant the entire planetarium type thing, where these people do their research.
