So I went to Adlou Theatre Lounge with Gordon's Suitcase last night and found this old set list on the stage:
ACCIDENTLY
BROWN EYED GIRL
GO YOUR OWN WAY
I LOVE ROCK AND ROLL
EVERYWHERE
HERE WITHOUT YOU
EVER SEEN THE RAIN
JUST LIKE HEAVEN
LET HER CRY
R U STILL HAVING FUN
BACK 2U
Driving back from Hartebeespoort after the show, I went a bit mad and started writing obscure poetry - the only paper I had was this setlis...
With the cat eyes scattered
rapidly along any semblence of sanity, shadows..
may pass over your road
but find a place of destination in your heart,
a sense of belonging in your soul and
the selflessness (pure awesomeness) to
be able to look at yourself in the rear view mirror...
I was writing inbetween the song titles, but I had not read what both those and my poetry would result in..
I altered things a bit, added a bit of punctuation and the odd word and...voila:
ACCIDENTLY
with the cat eyes scattered
the BROWN EYED GIRL goes
rapidly along any semblance
GO YOUR OWN WAY
of sanity, shadows.
May I LOVE ROCK AND ROLL
pass over you
EVERYWHERE
,road.
HERE WITHOUT YOU
but find a place of destination
EVER SEEN THE RAIN
in your heart, a sense of belonging
JUST LIKE HEAVEN
in yourself, and the
selfLETlessness - HER pure CRY
awesomeness
R U STILL HAVING FUN
to be able to look at yourself in the rear view mirror..
BACK 2U
Then again, you might have to be quite inebriated to find this humorous. *shrug*
And I wrote this while the band was playing:
Gordons Suitcase
the purposeful chaos of
discordant memories
amplifying inspiration
of movement
of growth
of reasons [yet to be realised]
of consistency & improvisation
emotion - set to ricochet off a structure,
a plan, a hope
an expression of upliftment
an expression of collective expression
restless, in the ambience
subtle, soft... a note, a chord
...intensified...
a song
And I took photos! Lots! I now have 5 films to develop, and I can't wait to see how they came out!!
The Gentleman of Numebrs; the Lady of too many words...
another entry tonight (my internet is back on at home....*BOUNCE*)
