So I've been thinking lately about the way that a majority of people seem to be treating others these days. It seems as if selfish intentions are prominent. I'm not saying that we are not all entitled to look out for ourselves and our own wants/needs, but shouldn't our goal be to achieve an adequate balance between helping others and ourselves? lets think about it....we have all done super "mean" things to people whether we realise it or not...whether it is ignoring people/simply not making the time for that person in your life or being a truly complete asshole. I have come to grips with the shitty shit that I have done and I am...this may be good or bad, but am ok with everything "shitty" that I have done. Its life and I guess you only have one shot at it and you better make your time here worth while. If you are wasting your life time on something that will not be valuable then you simply cancel it of your life. It is just not worth it for some people to have that inconvenience in thier lives. Take me for a wierd example...about a year and a half ago I was diagnosed with Polycystic ovary disease....I may not be able to have kids. I have cysts on my ovaries and I think about this EVERY DAY! This information changed my entire life. I am not willing to risk a stupid relationship or a relationship that is clearly not going in the direction that I want it to just for the fun. Two points - I want to get married and I want to have babies, this caused my priorities to change and my goals in life to change. I can no longer afford to have a job in the theatre where I only get paid if the show does well, I can no longer afford to date some loser who makes me temporarily happy and is there when I need him but isnt stable and independant. Life plays a lot of cards out for people and sometimes you have to sit back and just TRY to understand that the decisions that this person is making is for themself and only themself. It may often be selfish but that person only gets one shot...and its often in the dark. I hope I didnt just sound like a fool....since I am a bottle down ( of wine ).
