I'll take my predictable weather, thank you very much.

So we had an earthquake about 25 minutes ago. It was my fourth one since moving out here, and the strongest by far. I was decorating cupcakes when I realized that it wasn't me that was actually moving. LOL

I still don't feel right about the earth moving like that. It was very rolling, and I saw the cabinets moving. I went to the doorway, to go see Dave, who was outside on the phone, when I realized that I didn't have pants on. Closed the door, and felt the door moving in that same rolling motion. Put pants on, twisted my ankle, and by that time, three of the neighbors were in their doorways as well. When I did ask Dave, he didn't feel a thing. Weird.

According to the news right now, it was 5.6, a "strong moderate" quake. I guess it was about nine miles east of San Jose, in the Milpitas area? Which is pretty nearby, depending on which road you take.

Crazy. But no damage here, thankfully. I'd still rather a hurricane, though. You know it's coming, at least!
