Went to the university to talk with an advisor today. I needed info about changing my major to history, or double majoring in German and history. Turns out either way I lose a credit, so it doesn't really matter :) I was so worried about losing a lot of credits. Damn school didn't bother to send an email out about registering for classes though, so I'm late for that.
Went shopping tonight and bought some denim shorts, the HMV points card (they finally have one 8D) and The Simpsons Season 10 DVD. Naturally, the DVD didn't come with a booklet, which it should, so I have to return it. I was hoping to watch some of it this weekend :(
I also got my CDs from Poland!
They all have really nice packaging and booklets/inserts. And, the bottom right one wasn't supposed to be sealed because the eBay seller didn't have one, but it came in a plastic wrap, so I'm not complaining.
The Rise and Fall of the Second Largest Empire in the World: How Genghis Khan's Mongols Almost Conquered the World by Thomas J. Craughwell
Loved it! It covers the entire span of the Mongol empire from slightly before Genghis' birth to it's downfall. Lots of images are included, which I really like, but there's a number of spelling errors. It's not hardcore detailed, but gives a really good overview.
Day 02 - The most underrated movie
Mongolian Ping Pong (绿草地)
I dunno if it's really underrated or not, but I don't know of anyone else who has seen it. It's a simple film about three boys who are Mongolian nomads in Inner Mongolia and they find a ping pong ball and learn it's the country's "national ball". They try to go to Beijing to return it and they fight and get into trouble. The ending was really funny :) The kids were all really good and the scenery was stunning.
Billy Idol is coming to Windsor in September with Slash. I think I'll be going to that. Should be good!
