I was at a queer band night the other night* and heard the entirely adorable Liz Cronin sing - not only is she extremely sweet (and more than a little shy) but she has a lovely Scottish accent. Anyway, one of the songs she played has a chorus that goes
"...Holmes and Watson
are fucking on a steam train
they're fucking on a steam train
in the nineteenth century..."
and it has been in my head ever since. You can't listen to it, because the song isn't online, but I needed to mention it somewhere. I always like to see fandom stuff happen IRL :)
