the internship is going great so far. i got to joplin missouri last week. we stayed at ozark christian college. last week was a crapload of work. we had to do a bunch of inventory, fold shirts, put together the bookstore, learn to set up all the sound stuff, we made our stage and props, and loaded up our trucks. the interns and staff are alot of fun though. the other girl intern on my team droped out so this awesome girl katie who works for ciy is filling in for her and is my roomate this summer. friday we drove to cincinatti which is where im at now. the campus we are at is like in the middle of the worst part of town, but the campus is at the top of a hill that overlooks the city and its beautiful. we went around today to look at the differant work sites and this is such a poor city. atleast where we are at. but i guess thats why we are here! i cant wait for the students to get here monday. there is so much work to be done and i cant wait for jesus to be shown to these people through the students that come and the work they do. driving around and watching the people here hurts. kids playing in the street next to prostitutes and drug houses, all i hear out my window is sirens, and i heard there was a drive by the other day. the news said 14 kids have died this year so far by being shot. so pray for these families and people in cincinatti, please. and for the students comming to be safe. even though there is so much bad in this city there is hope and i think its beautiful here. im getting a camera soon so im going to take a ton of pictures to put on here and show you. but here are a few of the other interns... please pray for us.
